“Leave him alone, Serbia. Can’t you see he just wants to learn?”

“Brats like him should be punished. No one goes and declares war and independence on me, unless they truly have a reason for it.”

And with that, he left. Albania, who was apparently on his way earlier, had just rushed up to me and dragged me out of Finland’s arms. He started to calm me down in Albanian, and I just fell asleep.

The next day, Finland came again while I was in the middle of pracitising, smiling the way I loved it the best.

He rushed over to me, hugging me as he scooped me up in the air. Albania was currently away, and Germany came here a little earlier (along with Italy, showing me all his pasta works) before he left as well. And now, Finland was here.

“My, you’re such a quick learner. Just don’t go and loose all your cuteness!” He nearly squealed. He had a little dog on his head - Hana something... I completely forgot. - who sat on his head. He wore the same hat like his owner did yesterday.

It barked while I watched with the curiosity any baby nation would’ve had if they saw a dog they’ve never seen before, who was nearly the same length as you.

And then there was this big guy that came (he was huge! Almost like a house!). I never really liked him. He was a “good friend” of Serbia, and that’s bad news. And that smile... it really creeped me out!

“Oh, playing with the province, Tino?” he said, with that (faked) happy tone. I hated him. I just knew he was not going to like me declaring freedom (and I was right. He still won’t accept it. Maybe if they, as in Serbia and him, broke off ties, then maybe... just maybe, he’ll accept me); he was going to brag about how it’ll be the end of the world, or even the system.

“Russia...!” He muttered.

“Just to let you now, I’m going to side with Serbia on this. My boss thinks it’s probably the best way.”

And then “Tino” started muttering something in Finnish. “Perkele” was the word I heard the clearest. He didn’t wear that very nice smile he had just a few seconds (or was it minutes?). Instead, a frown replaced it.

“Leave us alone...” I said bravely.

These two had a lot of history together, both good and bad. That’s what I was able to take in, even at such a young age (well, I’ve actually existed a little longer than that, but I’m still younger than Albania and Serbia).

He just looked at us, smiling, before he gave us a salute (Kosovo is Serbia in his native language) as he left.

“Thank you, Kosovo... I just... I didn’t want to face him right now.”

And then that smile returned, and I was happy again. He looked much, much better when he smiled.

Finland put the dog down, and I started to play with it (or rather, tried to).

Present time:

And here I am, sitting in Albania’s lap and watching the news of the pro-Kosovo is Serbia taking place.

“Unbelieveable...” He muttered in the native language. I just leaned back into him and smiled.

“You’ve got that right, brother...” I replied, and yawned.

“Go to bed. It’s pretty obvious you’re tired.”

“But Fin-“

“Don’t worry.” And then he kissed my hair from behind, before picking me up. “He won’t show up in another few hours. You’ve got plenty of time to sleep by then.”

I just muttered under my breath (like any human child would do when forced to go to sleep against their will) as he put me down on his bed.

“I promise to tell Finland that you’re up here. Until then, just try to get some sleep.”

Author!Anon:

The reason I did not add Sweden anywhere was because of three main thing:

1. The request!anon did not ask for Sweden to show up.
2. In my story, Sweden and Finland have sorta "split up" and gone in different directions (though it is pretty obvious that they want to get back together). They accuse each other of infidelity with one of the Slavs nation.
3. I can't write about the giant. It's too difficult.

I wanted to add Albania in because of the close relationship him (or her, depending on how you see the nation as) and Kosovo has, as of present time. I see this nation as someone always getting in the way for Serbia, which results in them trying to kill each other.

This... was beautiful. I think it portrayed Kosovo's situation really well. :)

And I think it's only good that you didn't include Sweden, since he'd have very little to do in this.

Ha ha... Russia is too scary.
