Ludwig sat on the ground and saw the beast lying on the ground twitching. What kind of monster is this? He got up and started moving away from it. Many would have chosen to run, but Ludwig felt more determent to investigate this further. I’ve been to this town before on short checks. But I’ve never encountered something like this. He started walking a bit leaving his bike standing. He looked over his shoulder and saw the beast still twitching on the ground. It didn’t look like a normal dog or wolf for that matter. Then he saw to his horror that the blood had disappeared and that the wound had been healed or removed or whatever it did to recover itself. He saw how it was starting to get itself up on its knees again, it went slow but it was getting there, a small growling sound was heard, and Ludwig knew he couldn’t waste time watching the beast; he needed to run, and he needed to hide. So he did the best thing he could in this situation and started running towards the town.
Arthur and he was quick to drag up his lighter to see better. A part of his brain would always regret that he did that. In the weak light of the lighter he saw a creature taken out of his nightmares sitting in that wheelchair in front of him. Not a single hair on the body, wide open empty eye sockets staring at him. Long nail less finger clenched the rusty handles of the wheelchair and a sewn up mouth made muffled sounds before the naked humanoid creature reached out a seeming unnatural long and thin arm towards him. This isn’t fucking happening. Arthur thought to himself as he watched the arm come closer with wide eyes. Then he reacted before he knew it. He quickly bent down on the ground, grabbed the first thing he could get the hold of, dropped the lighter and smashed the steel pipe in what he hoped would be the monsters head, he heard a vicious screech and the wheelchair feel over with allot of noise and his lighter hit the ground and went out, having everything return to darkness. Arthur heard only the screeching sound of the spinning wheelchairs and the sound of his own heavy breathing. He tried to listen for sounds but there was nothing else in the darkness. He clenched the steel pipe but he felt that his hands must have gone white. What the fuck is going on here. He didn’t know for how many minutes he stood there in the dark silence. Then he fell to his knees and started searching for his lighter. He moved around with his hands in the darkness and touched something cold that felt like a dead fish. Arthur quickly pulled back his hand realizing that it must have been the creature and he felt that something got stuck on his hand. But he didn’t have time to care about that and after a while managed to find his lighter and relit it. First he saw the creature in the wheelchair, it looked dead as it was lying on the ground, a black liquid was sipping out from a hole in its head. Arthur saw that he had gotten a similar liquid on his hand and cursed himself for leaving his gloves in the car. He looked back in the ally and saw something as strange as the creature in the chair. It was a number of smaller creatures, looking like bear cubs stripped of their fur. Their blind eyes left them sniffing around in the ally were Arthur had been standing a minute ago. But when they realized there was light coming from somewhere one of them unleashed a howl to deep for a creature that size and the others followed upon hearing the signal. Arthur felt a chill run down his back, the creatures might be small but they were many and they certainly didn’t look harmless. Arthur did what seemed wisest at the moment and started running, hearing that the animals or whatever he should call them followed him right at his heel.
