The night before, Italy had told him they couldn’t spend the night together. The groom not being allowed to see the bride tradition Germany could have sworn died out years ago. They kiss each other good-bye and Italy is off to spend the night at his brother’s.
The next morning, Germany wakes up only after an hour’s worth of sleep. He is used to such strenuous conditions thanks to war, but he’s been worrying himself ragged and so he’s really not in the best of state of affairs. Yet he still gets up, takes a deep breath, and pulls out the suit Italy has given him for the wedding. It’s a nice suit, comfortable and very stylish. Italy does have plenty of fashion designers, famous ones, so it is to be expected.
As he drives to the church, he wonders if maybe he really should back out. Is he having cold feet? Wasn’t that what brides had? But in every book he’s read, Italy just isn’t good husband material. The books he lives a lot of his life by has said men like Italy will cheat or never do their share. Plus he doesn’t even have a clue about what’s going on with the wedding. Marriage was a partnership and what partnership did they have? A very one-sided one and Germany groans as he realizes that maybe this is the biggest mistake of his life.
But he continues to drive to the church and he knows he will marry Italy. Italy may not be the best ally, but he was definitely the best friend he’s had. Love has to be enough to get married and Germany decides it is as he pulls up to the church. ---- reCAPTCHA: argued Other. Even recaptcha is doubting this marriage.

The inside of the church is beautiful. No sign of pasta décor and no sign of anything looking horribly wrong. It looks fine. Germany takes a moment to appreciate its beauty until the serene environment is ruined.
“You fucking potato bastard!”
Recognizing Romano’s voice, German turns around to see Romano stomping towards him.
In a dress.
“Look at what you’ve made me do! Now we’re all dressed up like idiots and it’s all your fault for marrying my brother!”
Eyes wide and his mouth moving as he tries to find words, Germany just stares. The dress would look lovely…on a woman. On Romano with his obvious masculinity, the dress looks ugly. A light blue in color, it has long sleeves and somewhat hides the broadness of his shoulders. Out of all the things Germany been expecting, this had not been it.
“Don’t stare! Call this wedding off! Spain forced this thing on me because Feliciano wanted it, but I don’t! Call it off now or I’ll kill you! Germany will fall!” Romano is pointing wildly at him.
“A-ah, you are here, Germany,” Japan calls from where Romano came from and is wearing the same dress. He’s blushing and looks like he’d love to be anywhere but there at that moment.
Germany finally finds his voice when he sees Japan and he coughs. “Japan? Why are you and Romano wearing dresses?”
“Like you don’t know, you asshole! I bet this entire thing was your plan! You wanted to embarrass me! I know it!” Romano has yet to calm down and for once, Germany can’t blame him even if he has the wrong idea.
Japan waits until Romano is left panting from his tirade to speak. “I guess I should have figured you wouldn’t have known, but I thought you were just doing the usual with Italy. I didn‘t think you would agree to this, even if Italy wanted it.”
Hadn’t he thought earlier that Italy wouldn’t do something like this? Had he really given Italy too much credit? Had Italy really dressed his bridesmaids up in dresses? If Japan and Romano were in dresses, then Poland was most likely in a dress too. And if the bridesmaids were in dresses, then it was most likely that Italy was too.
He needed to get drunk.
“Germany!”
Italy comes running out. In a wedding dress. A white, poofy, beautiful wedding dress. With a wig. And a veil.
Italy is in a wedding dress.
“Surprise~!” He cheers with his arms spread. “Did I do a good job, Germany? Did I? Don’t I look beautiful? And like a girl? Well, not like any Italian girl, but I think I could pass as one of your girls. German girls are bigger than me, but I can be a small one.” Germany’s face is twitching as he stares and Italy begins to worry. “Germany? Are you okay? Are you nervous about our wedding because so am I. I couldn’t even have any pasta this morning!”
“Italy?” Japan walks away when he says this. By now, Japan knows exactly what’s going to happen after seeing it enough.
“Yes?”
“How could you think you did a good job?! You’re dressed like a girl! You dressed other men up too! Romano is in a dress!”
“And I want out! Now!”
Italy pouts and toes the ground with a fancy dress shoe he is wearing. “So is Poland and he likes it.”
“He’s Poland!”
“Like, what about me?” Poland asks as he walks out, hand on his hip. He somehow makes the dress look good and doesn’t seem to mind wearing the dress at all.

OP here~ I just reread this (I lost all my bookmarks and am digging through all of my tracks x.X) and it's still adorable.
It's a shame it was never finished, but thank you for writing this much. Everyone is so in character. I requested this when I was still relatively new with the fandom so I didn't appreciate how well written this really was the first time.
