So Russia simply reaches out for his lover and delights in the feel of hands - small, compared to his - that flutter gently through his ashy-blonde hair at first, until the movement of the Russian's hips and the way that he flicks a tongue lazily over a tanned, pert nipple cause fingers to fist up as China moans his approval.
Their lovemaking is defiant; no fast, hard, shameful thrusts as Hong Kong allows himself to be pleasured by Britain and America alike. But Russia floods China's senses like the most potent vodka, he attacks everything at once while China's pleasuring is more subtle and slow. He teases Russia, bringing him to completion inch by back-arching, hip-thrusting inch. His long, black hair brushes like feathers across Russia's body and irritably he thinks that China takes too long, that the changes should come quick and hard and in succession - oh. He bites down hard on China's collarbone and thrusts up into the other man. Russia is silent, he stops running his fingers through the long, black tresses. He checks back the words that rise against his lips, knowing that he still has to be careful around China, that the other man still doesn't entirely trust his round, grey eyes yet and his height and size and tousled blonde hair for all China desires him. "It'll be easier if it's all in one braid," he says instead.
China scrutinizes him - yes, inscrutably - and his dark, almond eyes are almost loving. "Would you?" he asks, even though he knows that Russia's fingers are clumsy when it comes to things like this.
And it really does turn out to be a poor specimen of a pigtail, bits and pieces sticking out and all uneven. But China enjoys, while he can, the feel of Russia's cool hands running through his hair. He snaps, without any real spite, "Ow, quit pulling!" and doesn't entirely keep a straight face when Russia impatiently calls him a baby.
Russia hands him the scissors. A soft snip and the dread deed is done. China's head feels inutterably light. A shiver runs down his spine as he feels a light kiss pressed to the back of his neck. "I'll fly you to the moon," murmurs Russia.
China informs him just how pathetic that is as their bodies get tangled in bedsheets that are red as blood, red as a sunrise.

Ah, one thing - not sure if Russia's that likely to think China inscrutable. Being half-Asian himself, he has less Orientalistic tendencies than his fully European neighbours. (He has a much longer history of writing Asians off as cruel yet simple barbarians.)

That said, Russia/China is simply delicious~ I love getting to throw in historical references and I'm afraid that I might be a bit heavy-handed with them as well. This would be really early on in their relationship, obviously. When they both believe everything will genuinely turn out alright (which, I guess, it sorta did and sorta didn't) and before they both go kind of guano.
And thanks for the concrit - I don't know very much about the Russian mindset and I'll definitely keep that in mind while I go hunting for more Russia/China to write...

Ah, patriotism at its purest! I guess it's hard not to be. ^^ By the way, if there was any China/Canada, I'd so read it, if only for the pretty.
If this is heavy, well, please don't stop being heavy-handed. This fandom is far too light on the references.
And this is my favourite stage in the relationship, or rather the only one I can bear to read about, so I'm very glad you chose it.
