Back in the conference room, things are about as good as they were half an hour ago. The only noticeable differences include several missing items of clothing, and the overall smug glow several nations are carrying.
Germany's collar button is suspiciously absent, and North Italy keeps scratching at his scalp as though his hair has been pulled on repeatedly, though the smile on his face never leaves.
"Do you have any pasta, Lovi? I'm hungry~!"
His brother, however, is too busy scowling furiously with his arms crossed over his chest at Spain, who is eating a tomato in possibly the most obscene way ever invented.
Hungary is snuggled up companionably next to her husband, but his attention is distinctly elsewhere.
France is humming happily, and muttering something about cameras and what a wonderful New Year's present this is, and sneaking glances across the table at Austria.
China and Russia are, in fact, no where to be found.
But the crowning moment of the afternoon comes when Poland comes jumping merrily into the room wearing only a thigh-length skirt and ribbon around his neck, giggling, and calling over his shoulder, "Like, come on, Liet. We're already like totally late!"
No one asks where they might have been hiding, because really, no one wants to know.
