"You got it, old buddy!" Al grinned, slapping Arthur forcefully on the back (and causing Arthur to wince in the process). "We're goin' in. We, the United States of America, are declaring war against the Axis Powers. So you won't have to fight alone anymore." He paused, staring off into the distance, before snapping his attention back to the present with a grin. "I'll join you. Together we'll clobber the Western Axis Powers together, and make sure they're all waving one of Italy's signature white flags by the end of it."

Arthur merely smiled slyly at him, borrowing one of Al's old phrases of approval: "You got it...pardner." Without pausing to consider, he allowed one of his hands to curl around Alfred's waist as Al slung his own arm over the shorter man's shoulders. Turning the thought of their partnership over in his head for a while, Arthur suddenly jerked his head upwards, giving Al a puzzled expression as realization dawned.
"Wait a second Al...what about the Pacific?"

Al chuckled, puffing out his chest in pride. "Don't you worry those funny little eyebrows of yours, Iggy. I'll be the one to handle Kiku out East. That's just how I want it. Just me versus him. And I'll make sure he remembers this event with a pinch of salt."
He looked off into the distance once again, expression set, as he recited solemnly,

"December 7, 1941. A date which will live in infamy."
