It was Saturday night: clubs were open, parties were being held, friends were meeting with friends and human beings in general were frolicking about, laughing and drinking and procreating much like they did every weekend.
America, however, was not amongst them. No, this night he sat alone in his office staring at his computer screen, his face a mixture of frustration and bewilderment. He could not for the life of him understand what had been so difficult to understand about his instructions. Be there at 7:00PM. Invites at 7:05 sharp, first pull at 7:15. Clear and concise. Something even that idiot North Italy could understand.
But as he looked up at the little clock in the corner of his screen and realized that it did, in fact, say 7:00PM and that he was, in fact, one of only two people standing outside the gates of Ahn'Qiraj he began to seriously doubt that.
He slammed his fist on the desk, sending several empty coke cans and fast food wrappers plummeting to the office floor.
“God dammit! How the hell am I-are we-supposed to be number one when they can't even manage to get to the damn instance on time?!”
He sighed. It could always be worse he told himself, thinking back to when they had first started MC and even finding the instance had been a monumental challenge. Oh, the horrors he'd seen: dead bodies strewn about, most of them victims of gankers. People falling into the lava. People drowning in the lava. Half the raid trying to enter the instance through Blackrock Depths because they hadn't even bothered to finish the attunement quest while the other half either idled about just inside the entrance or refused to release spirit for fear of once again being mind controlled to their deaths.
How he had hated those times. America fancied himself damned near a saint for continuing to allow these “nubs” to be in his guild. And this was how they repaid him? Pathetic.
With a heavy sigh he set about rallying the troops. Hitting “o” to open the guild list and check how many people were online, he was a little relieved to see that the majority of members had at least managed to make it to their computers in time. 35 people currently online, himself included. Their locations, however, left much to be desired.
UK, France, Greece, Japan, Hungary and Austria were still in Stormwind. South Italy and Spain were in the middle of Warsong Gulch while Prussia had apparently just stepped into Alterac Valley. Lithuania, Germany, Estonia, Latvia and Poland were already in Silithus at least, but America didn't see them anywhere near him and assumed they were still hanging about in Cenarion Hold. North Italy was...

America decided he'd rather not think about it.
Quickly skimming over the rest of the list it at least looked like people were making an effort to get there on time with most of them located in zones within the general vicinity of Silithus with the exception of the few who were still offline.
Not wanting to waste any more time, America promptly began sending out invites. A few accepted immediately while others returned “so-and-so is already in a group”. Could this possibly get any more frustrating?

He tried again, this time with more success. Now that the group was nearly full it was time to play the waiting game and hope everyone showed up in one piece with all the right consumables.
In the interim America took to organizing his bags and hotbar and inspecting the one other person who had actually managed to make it to the instance with relative punctuality.
Russia.
The one guy he hated more than anyone else in the guild. Offline differences aside, it was almost like this guy did everything possible to piss America off in what was supposed to be an escape from reality where he could be all powerful without having to worry about guys like Russia trying to get up in his grill.
He was the main tank, but only because he was the only member besides America who consistently showed up to every raid on time. He was decked out in top-end gear (mostly because people seemed too afraid of him to bid against him on anything), was a Grand Marshal, had THUNDERFURY, BLESSED BLADE OF THE WINDSEEKER, Sulfuras, more gold than he (or anyone else for that matter) knew what to do with and still somehow managed to have a productive life outside of video games.
The one thing he had that angered America most, though, was the Tank.
He had the fucking Battle Tank.
This was America's guild. It was through his efforts that it came to be and continued to do so. He lead the raids, made sure everyone did their damn jobs correctly and were actually online long enough to finish a single run. Yet still, the spoils of war went to someone else simply because they had the man power.
It was those times that America wished more than anything that he had three people at his beck and call to kill bugs for hours on end for him.
The worst part about it all, though?
He played a Gnome.
America wasn't sure what had compelled him to choose one, but decided it was a question better left unasked.
Despite how much he wanted to kick him, though, America had to refrain. To kick his best member (as much as he hated to admit it) would be suicide. Thus, he endured.
Twenty-two excruciating minutes later the raid finally managed to arrive in one piece at the instance.

Guess not, considering the Rogues are now mind controlled and raining down a severe beating on the healers. We can still pull through though, there are enough people alive to-scratch that, half the DPS just got cleaved to death. It's a wipe. Again.
America tried to remain optimistic about the situation (the fact that they were somehow the best guild on their server had to count for something, right?), but as he glanced at the in-game clock and noticed it was now some time past 10PM and they were only just getting to C'thun's room his heart sank. This probably wouldn't end well.

He hadn't intended to punch himself but that amount of pure hatred he was feeling at just about every person on earth was apparently enough to give his hand a mind of its own. Why did gold sellers always have to interrupt at the worst times? He supposed it was karma-really, he'd only bought from them once, and now suddenly they wouldn't leave him alone! Flooding both his in and out-of-game inbox, sending him text messages and whispering him constantly.
He made a mental note to punch China at the next meeting.

I am so happy everyone enjoys it so far! I had a lot of fun writing it.
As for who those two are, Teammom is Ukraine (because of TVtropes) and Supman is Turkey because it was the first thing I thought of LOL
