He didn't get past the first bite, coughing and spluttering at the taste, forcing himself to swallow and smiling sheepishly at Arthur, rubbing the back of his head with his free hand. " I knew it!" Arthur yelled at him, taking the rest of the scones away from the table and hiding them in a tin. Alfred hoped they never saw the light of day again.
He let the Princess complain at him for a good five minutes about how he just didn't understand delicious food when he ate it, he never had. Alfred just took it all, after all complaining was the one thing Arthur really truly had. Who was he to deny the man of the thing he did best?
He watched as Arthur stormed around the kitchen, knocking into things in his way, not really noticing where he was going. He was going to be covered in bruises if he kept that up. Honestly. From experience though, he knew it was better to just let him at it. There was no point getting in his way when he was in one of those moods. Alfred would more than likely end up getting punched if he did.
All of a sudden, Arthur's quiet ramblings to himself, most likely still about Alfred, turned into a cry of shock. He had been making yet another full circuit of the room, coming close to where the table was again when suddenly he tripped over something; probably his own shoes and began to fall backwards, arms flailing trying to regain his balance.
Without thinking, Alfred was up and catching him before Arthur could finish letting out his yell. His face was scrunched up in anticipation for the pain that would have come, if he had hit the floor. Alfred didn't quite remember leaving his seat, yet obviously he had, as there they were now; Arthur held tightly against his chest, being clutched at protectively.
"W-what are you doing?" came England's agitated voice. Alfred could see a red hue creeping up the back of his neck, which left little to his imagination to what the other's face must be like. "Just what are you doing?" Demanding Princess.
"It's dangerous." Alfred muttered abashed, turning his head away. It was alright for him to see England embarrassed, but the other way around? Not in this life time. Arthur stayed quiet for a moment, neither of them moving to break apart from this bizarre embrace.
Trembling hands clutched at his shoulders, making Alfred look down at the other. Just what was he doing? There was a look in his eyes that he had never seen before.
It was almost like- Nah. Couldn't be. Could it? It reminded Alfred a lot of the look he knew he gave England whenever he knew the other wasn't looking. But it couldn't have the same meaning. That was just senseless.
The blush on Arthur's face increased, as did the shaking in his hands. Was being held affecting him that badly? Alfred wasn't certain, but it sure did seem that way, so he began to pull away- only to have the shorter man launch at him the moment he did, wrapping his arms around his chest and holding on tightly.
"...Well this one's more dangerous." came a very disconcerted voice, buried in against the folds of his jacket.
Alfred didn't know what to do, say or think in this situation. So he did the first thing that came to him. Annoy England. "You're rather attracted to those such as me, right?" he asked, laughing slightly, trying to hide how pleased he actually was with the situation. Arthur let go immediately, yelling at him that it was not what he thought. Stupid American.
"Well a princess has to have a knight." he teased, readying himself for yet another round of his incessant game.

Oh Dear Anon, you didn't butcher anything. All the opposite. In fact, I didn't know it was possible to take the video so literally and make it plausible and lovely. Because, god damns me if this isn't cute, and it is ♥.
And I found extremely amusing that you quoted not only Miku's version, but Kaito's as well. I love that one and how they complement each other. Happy anon is happy. To be sincere, mostly because this is your first fic in two years and I didn't know why did you stop and it's wonderful and afgfhjgj thank you so much ♥ ♥ ♥.

.w.'' Lol lol, am glad you, and other anons, liked it. Though I don't think I did justice to the sheer cuteness that is the song/video. I tried to stick to the exact theme of the song, and as far as I'm concerned, that song is not full unless you listen to the other half. (Plus, knight!Alfred is just a yes? )
(&& I mostly gave up writing fics in favour of my own original stories to be honest...Which I've yet to do, damn.) This really took all urge out of me to write any more fics though lmao so back to lurking for me.
