UKUS – Alt-History: American Revolution never happen

Crazy Scenario:
England didn't just manage to win the American Revolution, he kept America from rebelling in the first place.

How this happens can be author's choice: magic, time-travel, England sending a message through time, just plain alt-history AU, whatever. It could be lighthearted like the webcomic/manga or more serious. But, please, no horrific or dark-fics, no tortured America. I want him to be content with England or the British Empire.

Does America become part of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland itself? If that happened, would the British Empire still be around today? What would the world be like today?

A romantic relationship, UKUS (that order), is definitely my preference, but a familial relationship is acceptable.

Some history: the American colonies rejected the authority of the British Parliament to govern without representation and were angered about being unfairly taxed by the Empire. So...what if America got what he requested from England and didn't have to rebel?

Bonuses:
1. If a romantic relationship: this allowed a “Special Relationship” earlier in their history and/or they're married.
2. If a strictly familial relationship: Alfred didn't grow/age beyond early teens, or even younger, and has imprinted on England to the point of clinginess.
3. This Alt-history altered America's height (example, he's shorter than England), and habits (example, he still likes tea), but his general personality remains unchanged (cheerful and energetic).

This is a fairly easy alt...Had the Tories been less weak with the King, had the Whigs won (they were very much in support of the colonies' complaints, had the Olive Branch Petition been accepted (the offer was to either end the monopolies held by the British merchant companies and the Americans would pay the taxes--it was the taxes on top of the economic restraints that irritated them--or drop the taxes and leave the monopolies)--the King dismissed the petition before the Secretary of the Colonies, Lord Dartmouth, even got a chance to see it, had the King's advisor's been less stupid (they were the ones telling him to be more Kingly and make the colonists *submit*) or gotten kicked out...Or the compromise of The Two Georges alt history novel, etc.

Exactly! I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks it might have been at least relatively plausible. I hadn't really given thought to the fact that it would be easy. I had forgotten a few historical facts that you mentioned or I would have included them as well.
