Spain pulled Romano into a long kiss, and both of them hit the bed, Spain on top of Romano as usual.
“Hey, Romano?” Spain asked, breaking off the kiss.
“What is it bastard?’ Romano answered, wiping off his lips with the hand that wasn’t tangled in Spain’s hair.
“Are you okay with being on the bottom?”
Romano looked up at the older nation in shock.
“What do you mean?” Romano asked, a bit shocked. Spain smiled gently.
“Well, I’m always putting it in” Romano spluttered at the use of that term “So I was wondering if you might want to top for once.”
Romano puzzled over the question. Spain always topped, of course Romano hadn’t been very happy about it the first couple times. (Well he might have forgotten after a couple minutes of foreplay, but still) And even though he sometimes grumbled about being bottom . . . he didn’t really mind.
“Why are you asking?” Romano asked, not exactly knowing how else to reply. Spain laughed nervously.
“Well, when I had that brief thing with France, I was always on bottom, even though I wanted to top.” Spain said. “I don’t want you to ever feel like that, Roma.”
Romano flushed a dark pink. What would it be like, to top Spain, he wondered. Romano sighed, he had made his decision.
“I don’t want to do any extra work, so I’m fine with you topping.” Said Romano, too embarrassed to say what he really felt.
(I trust you. I want you to know I trust you. So I let you have complete control, at least in bed.)
Spain smiled. Romano was so cute when he was embarrassed.
“Okay” Spain said before covering Romano’s mouth with his own.
When they woke up the next morning, Spain swore it had been the best sex he had ever had while Romano flung curses at him rapidly.

Topping or bottoming isn't all about who can kick whose ass, and not everyone acres enough to switch the name order anyway. How about you don't make assumptions?

And if I had common sense, I'd have reread the prompt and taken into consideration that the order does matter here. Oop @ me. I stand by the first point.

re: 1): Yes, I was correcting myself on the order clearly denoting top/bottom preference in this context; I goofed in suggesting otherwise. I said nothing (and didn't intend to say anything) about dominance. If anything, the comment I responded to implied that Spain being badass indicated he should be on top and therefore equated topping with dominance.
re: 2): That's also how I read the request (when I, y'know, actually read the request, lol, my face is still red) and I'm not sure where I indicated otherwise?
