Canada blinks. "I, um. I don't understand. We have enough money to host both of us at the Chateau Laurier separately."
"It would be good for diplomacy and international relations, non? Think of how much talking gets done behind closed doors! And you don't have to worry about the prying eyes of your bosses."
"Well, okay, yeah, but ... do we have to share a room?"
"Oh, come on, you like China and Cuba just fine. What's the problem?"
"Ah, sir, well I -" how to explain this, Canada thinks... "Russia's ... um... kindofreallycreepy."
Trudeau waves a hand dismissively. "He is just shy. He's really very pleasant!"
Canada looks over at Russia, who is smiling very eerily and toying with a lighter. He tries not to let the feeling of dread permeate his veins, but he's not above shrinking in his seat. "Are we talking about the same Russia?"
"Reason before passion, Canada. Sois gentil, hein?"
Canada grumbles and fetches his bag. Trudeau looks positively elated.

Canada tries being forceful.
"Listen, Russia -"
"I am tempted to agree with my boss, honestly. But you seem nice and I like nice people, da? Nice people who don't complain or make fuss! You would not make fuss, would you, Canada?"
Canada tries being invisible.

"Why is my chair shrieking in pain?"
