Unhappy that he had to remain in the ridiculous outfit but happy that he could finally start on the homework he hadn’t finished in class, the American finished the remainder of his work in about an hour and a half (the teachers loved to pour on lots of homework during the beginning of each week… and the end of each week). England was finally, finally done with all of his work (including homework) and got up to leave when he caught sight of Alfred, in that cute maid outfit and remembered about his rather bored looking colony. “Alfred you may change now if you wish. We’re going somewhere, regardless.”
America moved quickly to the bathroom and swiftly changed, exceedingly grateful that he was going to get out of those clothes. After he finished getting dressed (including putting on his backpack) Alfred moved near England and looked at the other expectantly, wondering where they were going. The empire wordlessly ordered the colony to follow him and the duo moved through the silent, empty halls.
They entered England’s dorm (a large space, with multiple rooms to house his colonies, it was school policy for colonies to live near their suzerain states during their time at World Academy, as well as a well-stocked, fair sized kitchen). Arthur stated “You have two hours to get all of your things from your former room into your new one. Your new room will be directly across from mine. After you are settled, start cleaning the rooms completely and thoroughly, starting at the ones nearest the door to the main hall. All materials you require will be in the closets in the first, third and seventh rooms from the dining room. The outfit you will be wearing that you must not soil will be laid out on your bed. If you do get it dirty, you will be punished and made to clean it. If you do not wear the outfit, that act will be considered an act of disobedience. Dinner will be served at eight and I will cook tonight’s meal. You will clean the dishes and prepare for breakfast (I leave what breakfast will be to you however remember I hate the very smell of coffee). Any questions America?”
“No master.” Alfred answered quietly.
It didn’t take the American long to get all of his stuff over. It was mostly clothes and study material, but he did have a few books-for-fun. Usually Alfred just checked out a random book in the library if he wanted to read something, and what re really liked to do in his spare time was try to invent something or make some gadget run better, faster, more efficient etc… All told the move took about (Alfred checked his watch) forty-five minutes when the American’s path was blocked by Japan.
“Amerika-san I have heard some rather… Worrisome rumors about you and England and I was wondering if you could ‘clear the air’ so to speak about these… Stories.” Japan asked quietly.
“I-sure what have you heard?” America queried, mentally speculating on what the older nation was about to ask him.
“Are you Igirisu-san’s colony, and is that the reason why he let the others go?” Japan asked bluntly.
“Yes I am his colony once more. I offered a proposal with him and he accepted it. If you do not mind, I would like to get this stuff out of my hands.” Alfred replied truthfully.
“… I see, where are you going with your things?” Kiku questioned.
“It is regulation that a colony must live with their Empire in this school Japan. I am moving my things to the room he assigned me.”
“Best of luck Amerika, and remember, colony or not, I still consider you a friend.”
“Thanks Japan.”

It took hours to clean up all of the rooms to the picky Englishman’s standards, and wore out the American the latter of who wondered what was going to be for dinner. If England made stew, then Alfred was in luck. Arthur’s stew (though perhaps not the most flavorful) was fairly good and the rolls that accompanied it was only mildly burned. It was the same if the island country made curry and naan bread. Most other things though… Tasted like crap, though Alfred wasn’t sure why most of the other nations acted as if they were dying when eating Arthur’s food. Honestly, England didn’t poison the food it was just… Unpalatable.

The outfit that England had left him was another maid outfit, this one was shorter it barely covered his knees and was black and silver rather than navy and white and mid-calf length. Of the two he actually preferred the longer dress. He liked the main color better, but the length of this new dress was easier to move around in. the gloves he’d been given to accompany the black and silver were elbow length, ebony colored gloves. Alfred wondered if England had developed a maid cosplay fetish, or was trying to get him to go against the older nation. America checked the rooms, happy that he had managed to keep the ‘uniform’ clean (though it hadn’t been easy).
England had announced that dinner was ready as America was rechecking the last few rooms. As much as Alfred wanted to rush through checking the last couple of rooms in order to sit and eat, the American knew that England would not be pleased (or at least he wouldn’t have been the last time he was a colony) if he’d hurried and missed something. Ten minutes after the announcement, America came into the dining room, and asked “May I change, or do you want me to stay in these clothes?”
England regarded his colony for a moment, and decided “You will stay in those clothes. After all you have to clean the dishes after dinner and would have to change back in to that uniform as you clean.”
America nodded once in acknowledgement and sat to eat. Alfred almost picked up his fork to start eating after filling it when he paused, watching England who was observing him. The American waited quietly, looking at Arthur until the latter ate a couple mouthfuls of the food. Dinner was a salad and some sort of burned thing that looked that it might have been some sort of pot roast. It wasn’t too horribly overdone, and it was filling, something that the ravenous America was highly interested in.
After a few minutes, Alfred quietly asked (the utter silence was disconcerting to the cheerful noise in the New World, as it had been labeled, dining room) a few questions and got short answers back. Alfred gave up on trying socializing and finished his meal. England left after he ate and stated “Once you are done cleaning and putting things away in the kitchen (as well as preparing for breakfast tomorrow) come to my study.”
The cleaning and prepping took another hour and a half (he planned on making pancakes or ‘shroves’ as England called them, with orange juice, England had several oranges so Alfred had made some fresh, and sausages with toast). Most of that time was spent cleaning up the mess and smoke stains on the stove. After he was finished, America was exhausted. Not only did he have a long school day, he’d been cleaning (which took a surprising amount of energy) for most of the afternoon and evening and would have happily went to his bed and slept until his alarm clock woke him but he knew that England would Not Appreciate That At All, so Alfred walked to England’s study and quietly knocked on the door.
After waiting ten minutes without a response, America tentatively opened the door and found England sleeping at his desk, more paperwork related to either Student President duties or national responsibilities Alfred did not look to see. Instead he carefully picked up his ruler and soundlessly moved the elder to the Empire’s bedroom and carefully tucked in the island nation. Arthur hadn’t changed much when it came to work, Alfred noted. When he’d been a tiny colony and it was near bedtime, he’d often find England hunched over the desk he used when he came over to America’s lands, asleep. Back then (though he had the strength) he could not get the older nation into bed without waking the older nation up, so he would bring the other a couple of blankets and a pillow for the pirate’s head. Alfred had placed the pillow beneath England’s head, carefully wrap the other and himself up in the blankets he’d grabbed and snuggle into Arthur’s warmth and scent.

Not OP! But, this has been a very interesting fill. I really like it. Arthur is being kind of a douche, but may can knock some chinks in that plate mail of a shell of his? Alfred is so sweet. I'm kind of surprised that he stayed after he put Arthur into bed, though. At least that soon, and after the stuff he's been made to do.
