How it all comes together (11e/?)

The Green Lady herself was also badly damaged. If they were lucky, they could make it to port in enough time to save themselves. But the ship looked beyond repair.
Her captain was beyond repair.
The storm ended.
The sun began to shine as it broke through the parting clouds. ..........................................................................
Whether or not the Green Lady truly was lost, Arthur gave her (him) a burial at sea once they made it to land. He disbanded his crew, took his share of the riches they'd collected, and never set foot on a ship again.
He had lost men before. To battle, disease, even the rare foolhardy attempt at betrayal. But this had been different. This had been Frederick. There had been so much Arthur had wanted to tell him, but never had. He had gotten little bits out here and there, during their quiet conversations in the light of the setting sun, but not everything he'd been wanting to say. He had thought he would have more time; to figure things out, to make it perfect.
Standing there, looking out onto the limitless ocean, he had thought he had all the time in the world.
He found a suitable plot of land and built himself a mansion. It was far inland, no where near the sea with its sad memories and false promises.
It was never a home. That (he) was at the bottom of the ocean.
He lived out the rest of his life there, taking on Frederick's name.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Wow I cranked this part out fast. Future updates may not be so quick, but I'll try to keep them steady and not you know, once every six months or so like that last one.
You have no idea how blown away I was to see the number of people who were still reading this. Thank you! <3! And welcome to the new readers too, I'm so glad that all of you are enjoying this! Your comments all really made my day; I wasn't sure if people would be interested in reading this after so long.
Well, the past has been revealed. A lot of you guessed at what was coming, but I hope that you still found this part exciting. And maybe had one or two questions answered too that you hadn't been sure about.
And just to clarify. No, Frederick did not find a stand selling actual bomber jackets in the 1600s. It's more of a visual shout-out to America's jacket.
OMG! It's past my bedtime, but I have to comment on this. Incredible! I am blown away. I figured it was going to be something like that, but the way you told it...it was so much more tragic and sadder than I could have ever imagined. I cried! So much better than I could have imagined. I could just hug you for such an incredible update!
I looove this part - we finally get to see Arthur's past and it was as sad as I expected it to be. Frederick was pretty adorable, trying to be a hereo even though he was a pirate. And his loyalty and courage (but also stubborness) - it was all very IC.
LDJBKSDJG I JUST FOUND THIS CONTINUATION!!! I FREAKED OUT!!!
I'm sobbing inside right now. Oh Frederick (alfred)!!!! That's such a horrible way to go D: and the fact that Arthur and Frederick became one of those couples that fought and tragically separated forever without having the chance to apologize and say everything they've always wanted and meant to say. Urghhh, think it's that fact that hurts me the most.
The flashbacks were funny, cute and made me tense up. ^^; I found it funny how Frederick had hero tendencies and the fact that he nearly cleaned the Green Lady's food supply out. Sigh...all these updates...I'm so happy that the past has been revealed but it's so saaaad D: sighh =w=''
Until your next update, I shall curl up with my dolphin pillow and sniffle into tissues. <3
