Ignore the double post, LJ sucks.
I love you so much that I could burst, Spain.
The climax took Romano by surprise, because the pressure had been building and he thought he could hold off longer, but he was wrong, and he mumbled Spain’s name over and over into Spain’s chest as his body convulsed and shuddered, and he just wanted to lay there and melt into Spain’s chest, he was so light. Spain followed soon after, soiling them both but Romano didn’t care. They were both sweaty and panting and they stuck together like pages in a book. Romano laid his head on Spain’s shoulder, and he felt Spain lay his head on the back of Romano’s own, and suddenly Spain was stroking his head.
They were silent for a time. Romano had so many things he wanted to say but, as always, he couldn’t do it. He hoped his actions said enough. Spain touched his ear, and then his cheek, and then held his chin and turned him to face Spain. Spain’s eyes were half-lidded, and his lips turned into a small, but complacent, smile. Romano stared at him, and he didn’t smile but he didn’t frown either. He just inspected Spain’s sweat-soaked face.
“That was... really nice,” Spain finally said. He brushed Romano’s wayward bangs aside. There were a tangle of limbs and sheets. An owl hooted outside. “Romano, I had no idea you were such a lover.” Romano opened his mouth and closed it. His heart had leapt into his throat and clogged it up. “But of course, you are so much more than that-you’re my Romano.” Spain laid his head back into the pillows. “You’re my Romano, my strong, adult, independent Romano.” Romano leaned his head in and kissed Spain’s cheek, closing his eyes.
“...you’re....” Romano murmured. “...you’re good wine, Antonio.” Spain raised an eyebrow, but Romano, his nose to Spain’s cheek, eyes closed, continued. “You’re warm days and sweet air, the Mediterranean Sea and the oranges of Capri. You’re hearty earth and sleeping Vesuvius.” He took a deep breath, breathing in the scent of Spain all around him. “You’re the reason I was able to grow up.”
Spain slid his fingers through dark locks, and didn’t say anything. Romano didn’t say anything more, he just lay there, wedged into Spain’s embrace, breathing slowly. He was drifting off to sleep, safe in Spain’s arms. Where he belonged.
“You leave me breathless,” Spain whispered. “You’re beyond my lover, or my boyfriend. You’re just Romano. You’re my other half.” Romano shifted and opened his eyes, although they were barely open. Sleep had almost taken him.
“Don’t say such... such clichéd shit,” he said finally before closing his eyes once more. Spain laughed into the night air and hugged Romano tighter, snuggling down into the blankets with him and turning onto his side to face Romano as he fell asleep.
“It’s true, though.”
“Don’t care.”
“...goodnight, my love.”

I'm not super happy with the smut. I think I tried too hard. :/ In any case, Spamano is so much fun to write, and they're just so cute I can't help but write them with some (or a lot of) fluff. I hope OP enjoys! Thanks for all your comments!

Oh god and you even mentioned the cross and you don't know HOW HAPPY I WAS. I love when the countries religions are mentioned because in countries LIKE italy, it's such a big deal! :D so that, on top of EVERY THING ELSE... omf. so hot, so cute... Adored it.

This fill is amazing. (And your smut was hawt. I can't imagine why you're unhappy with it.) I love their confessions at the end. They were so sweet and beautiful. But I love how Romano is still so Romano.

This was great! But I would remind the OP that Spainwas more used to dominating/conquering than being dominated and kicked his fair share of ass especially on France (Italian Wars, VASTLY helped beat France in Napoleon days, etc.) and England (defeated England's own Counter Armada, etc.)! Let's not forget the Spain's tercios (his army military formation) were the most feared and strongest in all of Europe and even when other countries tried to copy his formation, they never really matched up to him. Spain was one not to be messed with! France and England know that well...
