Antonio released him and reached for a washrag and bent to retrieve the little bar of soap. Lathering the cloth, he spread it across his long fingers and draped it over the back of Lovino’s neck, pressing his lips to the boy’s forehead as he massaged his neck and washed it at the same time. He moved gradually lower, washing his back and waist and buttocks, taking special care with the sore entry between, and came around to the front. He gave a gentle, cursory scrubbing not intended to arouse, and moved slowly higher, scrubbing up his chest, across his pecs. He left suds on Lovino’s collarbone, then washed his arms and under arms. And his sides, moving back down toward his hips. Then he knelt on the tile and finished by washing each leg in turn. “Back up two steps, ciccino.”
Relaxed by the ministrations (a little), Lovino obeyed and found the spray hit him square in the back, rinsing away most of the soap. He moved and rinsed it all away, and turned back around. Antonio, still fully clothed and soaking wet and on his knees, grinned up at him. “Better?” He asked, and kissed one of Lovino’s kneecaps.
Lovino realized that, if it wasn’t better, Antonio would fix it until it was.
“Lovino?”
Even if he had to build a house on the moon to do it.
Let’s stay here.
It’s going to be all right.
Lovino sank to his knees and hugged Antonio, burying his face in the man’s soaked shirt. Antonio opened his coat and wrapped it around Lovino, then wrapped his arms around his back over the top of it. Lovino snuggled in closer to his chest, wrapping his arms tighter around the Spaniard’s broad back.
Antonio kissed him. “I love you.”
Lovino buried his face deeper, but not deep enough that he could not be heard. “I love you, too.”
Antonio grinned and squeezed him tightly against him, kissing the crown of his head. Then he broke the embrace and stood, sliding the towel free of the rack next to the shower door. He draped it over Lovino’s shoulders. “Ready for breakfast? I know I am.”
“Only if there’s bread pudding,” Lovino said, grabbing another towel and draping it over Antonio’s head before taking his own and stepping out of the shower.
“There is! Let’s go get some. I left it on the counter with the rest.”
“Change your clothes first.”
“Naw. Wouldn’t you rather eat naked, like newlyweds?”
“Newlyweds don’t eat naked!”
“How do you know?”
“Nobody eats naked! That’s disgusting.”
“Aracelia eats naked-OW!”
“Shut up and get dressed!”
…
“Lovino…”
“What?”
“Are you wearing my shirt?”
“…No…”
“Smells like me, doesn’t it?”
“Shut up.”

And I'm so happy you did. Take your time, I mean. :D This chapter was much better than the bit confusing last one. I like the rebellion from Antonio and Lovino (although I have a thing for mafia!Lovino...) and the passage about Rome's character. It's nice to get to know your Rome better at the end. Although you said you're not made for mafia, I liked the hints you gave here, like the memories of gunshots or the Rs. It created a nice angsty atmosphere. Antonio's threat was kinda out of my head-canon. I hadn't expected him to 'solve' that problem, since for me (at least in your fic) he's too soft for being a threat. But that didn't disturb the flow of the story, just my expectation which isn't a bad thing. :D Antonio has to be cool, too. Anyways. Lovino was much more Lovino here, we talked about that last chapter and you got his character way better here. :) He showed his fear without being too explicit about it, that's cranky Roma. <3 And, oh, Aracelia! ♥ And, oh, flirtations and then deep affection! I liked their interactions very much and thank you for letting her act again. And, oh, smut. Hnhnhn. You wrote that pretty well, without exaggerating too much, because that wouldn't suit the way you told their love story. And, oh, the ending. I love open endings like this, endings were your first thought are 'where are the meaningful sentences, why only pointless dialogue' but then you recognize that they sum it all up in a light way that makes you smile, without heavy philosophy that tries to explain the point again. does that make sense? not really, but i hope you understand anyway.
I request de-anon now, writer!anon. You wrote a beautiful story that needs to be shared. I mean, it has horses. And bread pudding, too. <3

I have a thing for Mafia!Lovi too, so that turn was a bit unexpected for me too. I'm glad the thing about Rome didn't seem too sudden or overmuch - I trusted my instincts completely on that one, I thought it was too late in the game for anything like that. But it worked!
I really struggled with the mafia stuff all the same. I'm the kind of person who has trouble jaywalking, much less causing any real trouble. XD I'm really glad the hints were enough. I pulled a little on Kill Bill memories for that. >.> Thank you thank you, I'm very glad it created the effect I needed it to. :3
I didn't mean for that to come across as a threat. I was going for peacemaker, but I have yet to fully polish the effect. All the same, I'm glad it didn't disrupt things too much. :) I couldn't resist having him have a cool moment haha.
GOOD! Oh I'm so glad you think so! I thought so too it's so hard to make him cranky and cantankerous guess I'm just too nice but it was so fun to do! And when I've finally got the hang of it, the damn thing's ending. Bollocks. It's wonderful feedback you've given me, and it will benefit the other spamano stories I'm working on (I'm a whore, there are ...3...). That's my favorite part of Lovino. He talks pretty fuckin' big, but he's a weenie, so easy to scare and a LOT LIKE ME. XD
I still cannot believe the warm reception Aracelia has received. When I realized I'd thrown in an OC, without giving it second thought, I was sure I'd be under fire. I'd have never thought she'd be missed! I'm very glad she's as loved as she is. She was a treat to work with. Thank you for enjoying her. I still don't know which part of me she came from, but I'm glad I discovered her and got to let her play a little bit. :3 And my did she play! I will probably never get to list euphemisms in dialog like that ever again. XD
THANK YOU. I hate exaggerated over the top smut, to tell the truth, but I love graphic-intense smut, too. in other words, I'm finicky. I have yet to find a balance I like. The trouble with smut is that you don't get to read a lot of good examples the way you get to view the pictures in manga if you're drawing or find a good romance novelist if het is how you roll. My resources are getting better, but I'm still very much on my own, in terms. Thank you for the feedback!
I love endings like that too. And my natural inclination is toward dialog anyway, it's the prose I kind of have to grudgingly work in. You found deeper meaning in it than I did - more of me operating on instinct. So yes, I do understand. :3

Hey, I've around 5 Spamano storylines by now, and 5 other ideas. ;D
I've read a few good smut stories, like "Give and Take" or "A way to say I love you" and "Of bosses and Italian charmes". I don't know if you know those, but the smut scenes there are pretty... let's say honest. :D And well done.
I'm fond of dialogues, too. 8D Definitely understand your point here.

I haven't heard of those! I literally read ONE Spamano fanfic here ("Turtles and Drunken Poetry" I think) and LOVED IT. And my first thought was: I wanna DO that! What is this Kink Meme thing? I picked up this fill, and I have the others to finish now. I do almost no reading here. It's a little sad. But with my new job, I don't really have the time, either. ;A; I MUST check those out.
I posted the first chapter to my LJ as a de-anon. I hope you can find it! I don't think I'm allowed to link it.
(Ah, well, no. Not really. I'm American, with a LOT of German blood running in her veins. I have that habit a lot of English speakers seem to have, of picking up words in different languages to better pin down what we are trying to say, as if we have no thought to discriminating against vocabulary simply because it isn't in our dictionary - yet. DX Having unique habitual speech patterns also makes it easier for me to avoid unconsciously imitating those of others (like my boss, who's got a thick New Zealand accent) - I think that's called echolalia. anyway, i'm rambling - no, I'm not German, but I wish to god I was sometimes. I'll have to settle for being of the descent. :P)
Interesting fact, though, I think the OP for this fic may also be German.

I've been following this from the beginning, you know, and I've loved every moment of it. You've done such a wonderful job and I'm just impressed with your story and the maturity evident in the telling. There were some very funny moments, and some very sweet ones, too.

I'm very glad you thought I had that spot on. That moment struck me kind of the way it hit Lovino. It was one of the most rewarding things to write.
I... I can't believe it's over! ;_; But my! what an ending! It... it just had everything!
First of all: the long awaited smut scene xD It was beautiful, really! B-e-a-u-t-i-f-u-l! You could just see how Lovino was really still so young and inexperienced and shy but still so turned on and aaaah, damn that sexy Antonio and his muscle-show in front of the window xD
Then... then there were love-confessions! In the shower! And wet clothes! ♥ ♥ ♥ Oh I really really loved that shower scene! It's like... when Antonio first dreamed about it and now it came true after all and the dialog there was so perfect (when he dropped the soap xD) and man am I incoherent much? xD
Then we had Antonio fighting for his love when he was on the phone with Rome. I just love how he doesn't show any fear at all and even kind of threatens Rome there for a short moment (probably without realizing it at all xD). YES! Antonio, you are so COOL! (pfff and his note: "hey sweetheart! I just threatened your mafia dad and now I'm gone grocery-shopping, take a shower, will you?" xDDD) I don't know, i think it's funny. And so Antonio!
AAAAAAND we had Aracelia!!! ♥ ♥ ♥ She just proved again that she's the most awesome old lady ever and I wish she were my grandma. Oh God do I wish she were my grandma! (though the eating naked thing could lead to awkward scenes... xD)
Now A!A, if it were possible I'd insist of you deleting that last line in your little AN there, because there IS no worthier filler than you, especially none that I'd deserve. And your characterizations were definitely not weird, because they were too busy being awesome!
I'm really sad this is over now, but it's so nice to have a full story, too and I'm pretty sure it's a relief for you xD Just let me tell you again that I love this story and it will forever be my favourite story on the meme ♥ And it's nice to know you're still out there, writing more awesome stories like this. I'm so glad you liked the smut. I tried a couple of things I hadn't done before. :3 I developed such a THING for Antonio during the course of this fic. XD I'm so glad all those things came across!

Anyway. Yeah. The shower scene. That was all kinds of magical revelations. I think I feel in my core everything I write, but that scene resonated. I'm very, very glad you liked it. :3 It ended up being the chapter's piece de resistance (I swear every chapter has one).
Antonio was, I think, banking pretty heavily on the fact that Rome was on the other end of the phone, that Rome didn't know where they were, and that they had been friends for some time before all this. (I LOVED HIS NOTE IS THAT WRONG? I hope not. :P) I think it was very Antonio, the closest to genuine Antonio that I may have come yet. Did that make sense? I reread that note and cracked up laughing. XD I love contrast humor.
Aracelia will always be dear. I'm glad she found herself a little snark for the end, I wasn't sure if she had anything left to say. She did! Euphemisms, again. *sigh*
The eating naked thing will always remind me of my friend telling me once how her mother used to get up in the morning and cook bacon and eggs and things for them all - in the NUDE. Who cooks effing bacon in the NUDE? Aracelia. XD I wouldn't replace my grandmas for the world, but I definitely wish she was a second-grandma the way your friend's mom can be your second mom.

I'm so glad you liked the smut. I tried a couple of things I hadn't done before. :3 I developed such a THING for Antonio during the course of this fic. XD I'm so glad all those things came across!

Anyway. Yeah. The shower scene. That was all kinds of magical revelations. I think I feel in my core everything I write, but that scene resonated. I'm very, very glad you liked it. :3 It ended up being the chapter's piece de resistance (I swear every chapter has one).
Antonio was, I think, banking pretty heavily on the fact that Rome was on the other end of the phone, that Rome didn't know where they were, and that they had been friends for some time before all this. (I LOVED HIS NOTE IS THAT WRONG? I hope not. :P) I think it was very Antonio, the closest to genuine Antonio that I may have come yet. Did that make sense? I reread that note and cracked up laughing. XD I love contrast humor.
Aracelia will always be dear. I'm glad she found herself a little snark for the end, I wasn't sure if she had anything left to say. She did! Euphemisms, again. *sigh*
The eating naked thing will always remind me of my friend telling me once how her mother used to get up in the morning and cook bacon and eggs and things for them all - in the NUDE. Who cooks effing bacon in the NUDE? Aracelia. XD I wouldn't replace my grandmas for the world, but I definitely wish she was a second-grandma the way your friend's mom can be your second mom.

I wish it was more of a relief. Truth is I already miss it. It's at it's end, and there's nothing more I could add to it without depreciating it somehow by just being in excess, but I wish it could go on forever.
