Hello again! I hope the play within the play didn’t throw too many of you for a loop. If you think it can be handled better, tell me (it’s supposed to be medium-awful, but comically medium-awful. I don’t know). There won’t be too many excerpts, but you will get to see bits and parallels of the story’s progression through Spain’s pen.
free baklava: of all the lines in this chapter, this is the one I expended the most google-fu energy on. And learned baklava is probably Assyrian. Consider that your trivia of the day.
Catalino: Because his mom was Catalina! He would have been Catalino XXIV except apparently Roman numerals are not okay for Spanish horses.
Wow this fill’s title is silly: Yes, well. If you want to know where it’s from, here’s a link. It redirects to a googlebooks page, which had a ridiculously long url. http://tinyurl.com/4dqfvbw
OP: Ahhhhhhhhh thank you! Glad you like those two together (there will definitely be more). And that you like awkward threesomes, because if there is a threesome, it will be worlds of awkward. Oddly enough, I dislike coffee too. But the Italy brothers have a thing for it so there you go. Okay! Will stop worrying maybe! Yes Ma’am/Sir! ♥
4.1non: Until I read your comment I didn’t realize I haven’t written genderbend on the kink meme before. Huh. Anyway, I’m glad you gave that update a chance despite the fem!Japan, and I’m even more glad that you liked her anyway.
3non: Thanks!
4.3non: …I’m indexing you guys by chapter now. And thank you! I like writing her; no idea if I’m quite doing her justice (the first page of her and Antonio was a bitch to get a final version of), but it’s still fun. *is showered on??* And, well, because he will. Near the end the both of them will be terribly unhappy.
past4non: I HAVE THIS TERRIBLE VISION OF EVERYONE SLOWLY BECOMING 4NON AHHHH. :D Kidding, but it’s still funny. Thanks! And no babies, I’m too young to be an internet baby mother! But you can make me food if y’like. I know I’d like. ♥
6non: BECAUSE. It was written. And it is so. And it is cute. Or something like that. Coherency is for coherent people anyway, come be silly with the rest of us! 6non. Only if you’ll be my anonymous love bagel. We will ride epically into the sunset. Except if we ride where I am we’ll hit the ocean very quickly. So we should ride a ferry.
7non: >:] art is pain. Or: glad to make you laugh! Making people laugh makes me happy. Heh, that’s been told to me before and I like hearing it every time. Because the details are often the best parts. Yes’m it fits! Also: You did. Because I’ve grown quite partial to that pairing. And because it gives me a chance to write another situation and pairing that I can’t wait for, but will probably make everyone else roll their eyes.
2non: I honestly have no idea. And I’m happy to hear you liked Japan so much here! She was the hardest part for me to write; I’m not used to Japan in any form, really. And she really does go well with N.Italy. Trust me, I can do plenty wrong. Oh, and you can say whatever you like in comments. I mean, I’d prefer if comments were kept constructive, but there’s no way to stop you from saying whatever you like. Although if you wanna say something to OP, they’re more likely to see it if you respond directly to one of their comments. Unless OP reads through these things. If so, hi OP! Well. So much for every weekend. New goal = as soon as I can. Rambling ftw, baby.
9non: I like puns waaaaaaay too much sometimes. And I’m not sorry at all. Although that part is semi-important. You’ll see later. And more like slightly-a-jerk / insensitive / the atmosphere, you should be reading it !Spain.

I'm so glad you updated!! This is seriously one of the best fics in the meme! Poor Monaco, I hope her wages are very high! And the Bad Friend Trio interaction is fantastic (I have a serious crush on your Antonio, he is so adorkable!) Looking forwards to the next chapter!!!:D

New reader here! *waves* I was so sure I'd commented last time, especially considering how much I loved your Fem!Japan and how you actually made me like Italy with someone other than Germany, but apparently I didn't? Figures.
Don't worry about the story within the story turning anyone off, BTW. It was ridiculously funny, I was laughing the whole time at all the adjective abuse and the metaphors and the romance novel-parodying.
Also when I got to the horse's name I snorted, as it sounds hilarious to anyone who speaks Spanish. Can't think of an English equivalent though, but it's got to do with gender differences in names. So yeah, boring.
Antonio's "quirkiness" just about killed me last chapter, but to have Gilbert join him too? I died. It's so in character for both of them, too. Plus the two of them as fail!artists while Francis is a fabulous!businessman fits as well. Those three! (proverbial hearts)
Back to Gilbert, I loved the little detail you threw in at the beginning, when Gilbert first came in to the office and Antonio's talking about Elizaveta and Gilbert refers to her as a witch. OTP! I hope we see more of that. *wink wink, nudge nudge*
In conclusion, this fic's the funniest thing I've read in a long time, and funny in a good, clever, well-written way, which we don't get to see often around here. So more proverbial hearts for you, A!A!
Why yes, I do read through anything, so, hi back :D And thanks, anon who liked the prompt so much^^
Pffff, you really know how to use each character perfectly. Your Gilbert is awesome! But I already loved him before he even appeared just because of a line about him slamming doors xD Francis and "Grimaldi" (that's such a cool last name!) are as funny as ever. Oh God, I would hate to work for Francis x'D But his office sounds simply awesome. He had a beach there? xDDD How does that even work?
The person who stalked Antonio after the massage... is it a canon character? If not I will totally read this as a little cameo of mine xD *would totally stalk a hot masseuse*
And dear god, the comedically medium-awful beginning was absolutely hilarious! I laughed so much at how Antonio (why did I just almost write Antionion? What do you have against onions, Antonio?) kept describing how beautiful his female Alter Ego is xD And the different stages of "black" the darkness has... oh dear, it's all so perfect! And I definitely like that we get to read little bits out of Toni's book! :D I totally can't see how Lovi can hate those books anymore - they crack you up!
♥ ♥ ♥
Oh and it's such a shame you don't want any babies xD Because I really can't bake or cook anything that wouldn't poison you. But I can make you a bunch'a roses out of pink napkins if you like. I'm not artistically gifted so that's the only thing I can do - learned it in Kindergarten when we performed the Sleeping Beauty. Why am I rambling? /shot

6non here!
D'aww, Gilbert!! AND I can't help but giggle at Francis here, ahaha. ♥ And that excerpt...threw me off the loop for a bit, but it's really cute to see Antonio...write himself as a woman. XDDD

*narrow eyes* isn't grimaldi the faux-royal name they gave the girl from the 'princess diaries'... whatever, it sounds good. <3
I absolutely adore Spain's little notes between paragraphs, it feels rather familiar. and besides being a little over-wrought... i would read that book.
also, any chapter with all three of the BTD in it is automatically amazing. moreso if they're rather perfectly in character <3

This chapter was also great! :) Former 2non hopes she wasn't creepy with praise last time? I'm really sorry if so. And not constructive enough. Um. I hope we get to see more of Romano soon, since he's so important to the plot and we know relatively little about him so far, but at the same time there's been so much mentioned about Prussia that he had to appear, too. And he's lived up to the reputation I feel he's gathered from the lines about him throughout the first three chapters while it's still all explained between the lines. Which is, well, awesome. I love that we get to see his character through the things he does, or characters' reactions to him, instead of having it explained. Will he and France Monaco Monaco Monaco! <3 be playing a major part in the plot?
I would never have known you had such difficulty writing Japan without that comment. But on that note, I really admire how you write a variety of characters in this fic, and ones that aren't necessarily popular in the rest of the fandom. Particularly Monaco. I'm also looking forward to seeing who else plays a part in this. Reappearances of Iceland?
Anon also loved everything? the excerpt from Spain's book in the plot, although... I feel like it was too... too well-written? Like. The plot definitely has medium-awful potential, and Spain's notes were probably the narrative highlight of this chapter for me, but I was expecting his writing to be a little more flowery? And less readable? I thought Romano must have had pretty high standards for literature. Which he probably does, though, as he should, so maybe it's just this Anon. Spain's romance novel is better than 99% of everything on a certain fanfiction site.
Still looking forward to the next update very much but Authournon's life definitely comes first. Hope everything is well with you. :)
Again, Anon really hopes long comments/reviews are all right. I... already had to edit this, so next time, I'll pre-empt it. And and Anon cracked up at where Authournon found the title for the story and that is so creative. I feel it really fits this story.
Finally, Anon is a bit slow, but was re-reading this and remembered Austria and may Anon ask what happened with Austria that was mentioned in Part 3 that led to him slapping Spain? Writing so that readers connect the dots seems to be Authournon's style and Anon loves it, though.

The excerpt was...just like I imagine a romance novel written by Spain. But a bit more wet.
