1946
The next person to complain to America was Prussia.

"Why the hell am I joining Russia? And why are you and your little Allies group wanting to dissolve me?" Prussia asked angrily. "You're killing me."

"No we're not Prussia, you'll just become East Germany." America reassured him. "And beside it was part of our war aims. It's like England has to give up most of his colonies." Prussia looked annoyed at this, but this expression dissolved into a smirk that made America wary.

"But you wouldn't do that to England, would you America?" Prussia purred and America shifted, tugging slightly at the cuffs of his jacket. "After all he's becoming your bitch now." America's mind went blank and his fists clench. If they weren't surrounded by many of the other nations, including England, he would have hit Prussia through a wall by now.

"Shut up." He muttered with his jaw clenched so tight that it was starting to hurt. The only way that Prussia showed that he heard this was how his smirk grew even wider.

"After all you can have him do anything, you're the superpower in the relationship. He'll have to date you and do anything you want because you're the one on top. You control him - " Prussia was cut off when America punched him in the face, sending him flying across the table into a surprised Turkey. Shouts and several screams were heard in the room but soon it all fell quiet.

"What's your problem?" Switzerland yelled, having been hit by Prussia as well on the other side of the table.

"Why did you do that?" Veneziano asked America, looking worriedly at Prussia.

"What the hell is wrong with you?" This came from an angry France who was now bent over the injured Prussia. America looked around at all the shocked and angry faces, focusing on England who was starting to frown, before he quickly made his way to the bathroom. He splashed some water on his face and rubbed his eyes.

"Prussia's wrong, he's wrong, he's wrong." America muttered to himself. As he put his glasses back on, he examined his face in the mirror. It looked like he had been punched in the gut several times mimicking his feelings exactly. England would never feel obligated to do anything with America just to stay on his good side. That was not how England worked, he almost never did anything to spare someone's else feelings. In fact he could almost be too blunt sometimes.

"I thought that I would find you in here." America looked up in the mirror to see Russia, or rather the Soviet Union, smiling at him.

"Why did you come looking for me Russia?" America asked, now turning around. Worsening tensions meant that he was wary of having his back to the Communist.

"I heard what you said to East Germany. He's mine now rather like England is yours now."

"England's not mine!" America defended himself, not liking how Russia's smile stayed fixed on his face.

"Don't be so righteous America. We're very alike, the dominant ones in the relationship, able to get the other to do whatever we want."

"I'm nothing like you." America hissed, even as he worried about who Russia was talking about. All Russia just did was smile and leave America in the bathroom, leaving the nation's mind whirling even faster than before. In the end he came to a decision. "He'll have to make the first move. I'll wait for him." America vowed to the empty bathroom before glaring after Russia. "I'll prove you wrong, you Communist bastard." He said hatefully before getting ready to face the other nations again.

Dissolving Prussia, making it East Germany and giving it Russia was part of the war aims. As well as England having to give up a lot of his colonies. Tensions between USA and USSR were already bad in WWII and were getting worse at the end.
Just so people know, I may put USUK on the top of this but that is no guarantee that America is going to top. If this does end up in smut. Which it likely will.

You are still on this! ♥

I loved this, even though I usually hate Villain Russia, he came out as unhinged and just genuinely interpreting like this nations' relations. Poor America! He must've been so stressed out back then, and of course Europeans are better at keeping poker face and upsetting others in those circumstances, and none better than Prussia...i also find it fitting that we have yet to see England in any relevant moment, it's so clear to us readers that America is obsessing over something England has no active part in...
random heartsy <3 for France being upset over seeing another hurt his friend Prussia, even at that time

Someday I will master the art of updating promptly. Adoring the comments I'm getting. I feel so sorry for America because I keep torturing him, I'm going to get to the main part of the prompt next time I swear. America's doubts are just being amplified by everyone else and in this one it's England's turn! Enjoy.

2006

America banged open England's door, too high on his news to care about any possible damage.

"ENGLAND!" He yelled, dropping his bags by the front door before slamming it shut. There was no answer which was slightly strange, America thought that England would at least come to shout at him for damaging his door. "England!" America called again, striding through to the sitting room. He caught sight of the familiar figure of England slumped on his couch, a glass of wine sloshing around in his hand. America grimaced. He never really liked it when England drank; the old man got far too sentimental.

"Oh, hello America." England seemed to just notice America standing there and gave him a bleary smile before going back to contemplating his wine glass.

"You already started on the wine? It's only three in the afternoon," America said quietly, taking the wine glass off England and sniffing it. He withdrew his head quickly. "What the hell is this? It doesn't smell like wine."

"Mixed wi' rum," England muttered and America gagged.

"And you call me disgusting. Why did you do that?" England threw a weak glare at America but it was ruined when his eyes shifted out of focus. England scrambled for the wine glass off America and took a long drink.

"Wanted to get drunk. Had worse things," England finally answered. America snorted, even though he agreed. Some of the things England had mentioned drinking over the centuries was enough to turn anyone's stomach. "News today." America was shaken out of his musings when England muttered again.

"Do you mean the news about us? About the loan between us having been all squared away?" America remembered his excitement as he jumped down to sit next to England on the couch. "That means that all the war debt is done, everything is finally equal between us!" England gave a slow, deep chuckle.

"Don't be foolish boy," he said and America frowned. He always hated being called that, England always used it whenever America was being naive about something. "You're the new superpower and I'll just have to accept that I'm not." England sighed and America froze. "Even so, I have to say, now while I'm drunk..." England took a deep breath and America waited anxiously to hear what he had to say. "Thanks America. For what you did in the war and everything. I needed the help and I'm glad it was you who provided it. I'm forever in your debt." England's words were accompanied by a warm look that America had barely seen since before the Revolution but he couldn't dwell on England's expression. It was his words that were having an effect on America.

"No, no, no, no," America babbled as he jumped up from the sofa. "You're not in my debt - that's what today was about - how could you - why would you say that?" America seemed unable to settle on any one point because England should not be saying things like that. "Do you really, no you can't - why would you - stop." America clutched his hands in his hair and England watched him in astonishment.

"What on earth is wrong?" England asked, putting his wine glass down on the table and managing to spill only a small amount. America flailed.

"You!" England blinked. "You are what's wrong! I mean everyone kept saying that it was true and I thought that after today it wasn't anymore but then you just said that." America knew that he was rambling and England was looking even more confused.

"America," he said slowly, as if he didn't want to frighten him, "what are you talking about?" America gestured vaguely between them.

"This!" England continued to look blank and America strode out of the room and the house. England looked at his glass of wine and resolved not to drink around America. The boy was confusing enough without the influence of alcohol.

2006-UK made the last payment of Anglo-American loan (1946) to the US. I am very sorry for the tiny update. Comments always welcome.

OP is ridiculously late. I have no excuse, especially coming to such a wonderful update.

As always, I loved it! Poor America, you captured his incoherency very well, he's not the brightest communicator. Lo, and he's so dramatic! I like how you didn't end up in angst, because England's clearly far too gone for that. I love drunk!England, what can I say; especially when he sounds like an oldish melancholic fellow and not a lovestruck I-shall-drink-to-cure-my-loneliness girl as is usually the norm. This is very much the bittersweet ex-empire who once loved the child that America was, all rolled up into one drunk package. I approves.

"Thanks America. For what you did in the war and everything. I needed the help and I'm glad it was you who provided it. I'm forever in your debt."

It's so entertaining to see England say the hilariously wrong things at the wrong time, for once

Present Day

Japan took notes as England and America fought as they usually did, in the middle of a meeting. He made sure to catch everything, like the hurt look that appeared on England's face as America insulted his cooking again or how when England turned away, America's hand jerked upwards slightly as if he wanted to reach out to England but he quickly controlled it.

"Interesting," Japan said out loud, as he scribbled down a few more observations.

"What is so interesting about watching the same thing over and over again?" France said in a bored tone. "The sexual tension normally excites me but when the same thing has been happening on and off for the past several decades, it gets old very fast." France craned his head to see Japan's notes and a smile crept onto his face. "But you just made it interesting again Japon. Mathieu, have you seen this?" The quiet nation made Japan jump, he had forgotten that he was there. The smile that France was wearing was mirrored in Canada's face.

"It's good to see someone else is seeing all this obvious UST," Canada remarked, as he settled back in his chair with a confidence that he shared with America.

"UST?" Lithuania, on the other side of Canada, spoke up. "What's that?"

"Unresolved Sexual Tension," France announced and Lithuania looked surprised.

"Are you talking about England and America?"

"They're just that easy to guess," Canada said wryly to France who laughed and nodded. "We should do something about that."

"Like what Canada-san?" Japan asked curiously, keeping an eye on the rest of the nations that seemed perfectly content to do their own thing, neither paying attention to the fight or the little group. Canada looked around at the three nations waiting for his opinion and rejoiced at this moment where he was noticed for himself rather than his brother.

"Well we're fed up of them dancing around the issue. Why don't we help them along?" Canada grinned and France smirked.

"It seems you have picked up something from me after all Mathieu," France cooed as he placed an arm around the blushing nation. Lithuania and Japan ignored this, too used to it to pay much attention.

"If we get their bosses involved, then it will be a lot easier and they won't find out we're the ones interfering," Lithuania mentioned to Japan who nodded and wrote it down on a new piece of paper.

"Like Monsieur Churchill. I heard he was a big fan of England and America, how do you say it, getting it on?" France said with faux-innocent which caused the still-trapped Canada to roll his eyes at his former guardian's habits. Lithuania's mouth turned down slightly.

"Whatever you do, don't mention Churchill around Poland. He's not a huge fan of the guy," Lithuania warned and the other three nations nodded.

"But the bosses should know. I believe they will be agreeable," Canada murmured as Germany finally managed to call the meeting to order and ended it. "I'll talk to America after the meeting about it. Fra - Japan can you talk to England as well? We'll meet back to talk to the bosses," Canada said unusually assertively before marching off after America.

"I believe that we've just been roped in on a matchmaking scheme," France said to Lithuania, looking after his former colony as he stopped his brother before walking with him out.

"There are worse things. Besides I owe America this." Lithuania said, more to himself than France.

Poland being given to Russia after WWII was blamed on Churchill who was very wary of the Soviet Union and so allowed them to take Poland. I love all the comments I got but when OP didn't show up for a while, I thought I had driven them away with my horrible updating. But they are back and I was inspired! Doing outside the norm is great and America is so awkward and teenage. England has said completely the wrong thing, he just couldn't have held it in until after America had said what he needed to say. Drunk!England is fun to write, so much less repressed than regular England. Enjoy the update, less than a month after the last one!

I am fully willing to believe this is the way France spends his time. It's just...it's so him. He lives for this, and Canada indeed seems to have inherited more than just the wavy hair. I am actually sad France is not going to be the one to talk to England. I know, I know, Canada was being practical, but man if those two are not amusing XD

Nice Churchill mention. Getting the bosses involved is making me all kinds of excited, I love nation-boss interaction! I wonder who are you going to use? A real life example, the current ones, someone made up, The Queen...?

I'm glad to have been of service! I just had very busy months in April and May. This is as awesome as ever ^^
