Herakles has just answered something in a very curt, very cold way, and Romano is talking back in his heated trying-very-hard-to-stay-calm tone - he's in the spot just before Antonio, just my luck! and he's close enough that Antonio can see the blush.

"It's useless to talk to me like this. Antonio is here now, I can't pretend..."

"I hate it."

"...you hate him?"

"It. The way you do that."

"Goddamit Herakles, I can't even properly tell you to go fuck yourself if I don't know..."

"The way you say his... name. There's such heath in it, like..."

"Oh, so this is the problem." Romano is giving Herakles his best arrogant smirk.

"What problem?" Herakles is suddenly in Antonio's field of view, too, in front of Romano with a couple of quick strides, partially blocking the view of Romano's body, but not of his face. "I don't have a problem."

Romano bites his lip and tilts his head to the side in his best smug expression. "Oh, you don't."

"I don't remember saying anything about a... problem?"

"You're jealous, you stupid... stupid!"

"...who, me? Jealous? And who should I be jealous of?"

"But of Antonio, stupid! Of him and the fact that we used to be so close."

"Why, do you plan of running away with Antonio?"

Romano turns his head to the side, and blushes. "Obviously not, don't be a cretin. I wouldn't run away with a man in the first place."

"Then I'm not jealous."

"You behave like you are, thought!"

"Uh? No."

"Yes, you... oh fuck it, I can't win with you, can I?" Romano folds his arms and leans against a pile of planks.

"Win?" The amusement in Herakles' voice is unmistakable. "Why would my jealousy be a victory?"

"Mpf. It's... it's nothing, I..." Romano huffs. He's blushing terribly, and he's trying, and failing, to cover embarrassment with his usual haughty manners, and it's at the same time so familiar and so extraneous, and suddenly Antonio wonders what's really going on.

Just to confirm his suspicions, Herakles moves even closer, and cups one of Romano's cheek with one hand, and Romano makes only the most cursory attempt to move away from the touch.

"You like it when I'm jealous? Possessive?"

Romano huffs again. "It's... how do I know you... lo... are interested in me if you never..."

Herakles' tone has dropped, but his voice is still sweetened by amusement. "You're impossible. Don't you remember what we...? Don't you remember how I... greeted you this morning?"

Romano is stammering, his blush terribly intense under the tan, half angry, half something else that Antonio refuses to recognize, despite the voice in his head whispering he knows very well what's happening, he had even considered the idea in his musings, isn't it? He came here to verify, right? Well, here's the evidence! Just before his very eyes!

And just before his very eyes, Herakles' hand slides on Romano's chin, forces his head to tilt back, and Romano's eyes narrow in challenge.

"No, that's not enough. You want me to do this, too."

This is moving his hand into Romano's hair and tug at it sharply, forcing Romano's head even more, making his mouth open in a slight whine and then - oh good mother, Holy Mary, why are you allowing this - press his lips against that mouth, in what Antonio refuses to call a kiss.
