Fem!Prussia - Hedervary's [1/2]

O-Oh God... This isn't what OP!Anon asked for at all Arthur and Romano don't even appear in person or anything... :hides in shame: I'm so sorry, OP! But everyone knows how wrapped up in their romances teenagers can get, so I kinda wondered how well Prussia would take this sort of abandonment...
The lights in the quiet, nearly deserted bar buzz, barely audible beneath the jukebox in the corner. What few other patrons there are, are clustered around said jukebox or sitting on a barstool. But one Maria Jilchen Beilschmidt is not interested in what everyone else is doing that night. Well, besides one thing.
Maria Jilchen Beilschmidt sighs, looking deeply into the base of the amber bottle before her.
“Everyone’s always sayin’ ya can find the answers ta the whole world in the bottom o’ these things,” she, halfway through her third search of the evening, sighs, “So why can’t someone as awesome as me find any?”
She isn’t expecting an answer, but yet, a voice sweet as syrup and silkier than the Danube, meets her ears.
“What answers, exactly, would a pretty lady like you be needing to find in the bottom of something as crass as a beer bottle?”
“Nothin’ ya need ta worry ‘bout!” she replies roughly, “After all, it’s not like I’m upset tha’ my two bes’ friends in the world have gone an’ foun’ themselves a couple o’ boytoys an’ gone an’ lef’ poor Maria out in the cold. ‘rianna has that angry 'talian, Jeanne’s spendin’ so much time ‘round tha’ angry Brit tha’ I’m surprised his eyebrows haven’ gone over ta her face, but Maria is sittin’ in the only bar in town, not findin’ the answers tha’ everyone else seems ta find in the bottom of these stupid, fucking BOTTLES!!!!”
She makes to throw the bottle at the wall, but finds her wrist grasped firmly by the owner of the voice, and bloodshot red eyes meet brown. Red eyes travel down and find a nicely built body, they travel up and find longish brown hair tied back in a loose ponytail. Red eyes focus on a perfectly shaped mouth as it opens and begins speaking.
“Hey there, calm down. I’m sure you’re very upset-”
“M’no' upse',” she mutters - irritatedly, not sulkily. “Jus’ felt like seein’ what sorta spray I’d get if it shattered on the wall.”
“Well, whatever, that’s still no reason to go about destroying my bar, now is it?”
“Oh, this place is your bar, now is it?” Maria makes a great point of looking around. “Pretty nice place ya got here. If ya go for the scruffy look, tha’ is.”
“I prefer to call it aged. Speaking of which, you’re not.” A nod toward her (woefully lacking) chest.
She frowns. “ ‘S Germany. ‘S a very multa-mooltu- diverse town, but ‘s still Germany. ‘M an A-cup, bu’ ‘m 17, an’ this,” she gestured at the table, “is beer. ‘S plenty legal.”
“My apologies. I’m still not used to the low age required for purchase of beer in this country.”
“An’ ‘m no’ int’rested. Ya gonna let go o’ my han’?”
“Oh, I forgot.” Brown Eyes, as Maria has dubbed the other, drops her hand. Maria doesn’t feel any sort of chill. Really. “My apologies, again, Madame - I don’t believe I caught your last name?”
“Beilschmidt. The name’s Maria Jelchen Beilschmidt, an’ ‘m too awesome ta need company from the likes of you!” Maria thumps her chest for emphasis. She pauses, expecting
A chuckle meets her ears. “That’s why you’re sitting in a bar, alone, drinking yourself silly.”

“Well, if you’re going to be like that, perhaps I shouldn’t offer you an opportunity for some companionship...” Brown Eyes makes to turn away, but Maria grabs onto the other’s sleeve and pulls.
“Hang on a sec... Yer not the sor’ tha’ goes aroun’ pickin’ up defenseless drunk girls in a bar an’ murderin’ their asses, now are ya?”
“Jesus, Mary and Joseph, no! I simply saw a very pretty girl who looked like she needed someone to spend some time with, so 1 decided to try to spend some time with her.”
“Well... well, thanks, I s’pose...” Maria mutters, looking awkwardly from side to side. “‘S your name, anyway?”
“You couldn’t tell from the sign outside? Hedervary’s? When a bar has a name like that, it’s usually the owner’s name.”
“Well then, Hedervary, hows ‘bout you an’ me spend some time gettin’ ta know each other a bit better.” Maria smirks in that way that Jeanne and Adrianne always swear makes the boys swoon. No telling if it’ll work on Hedervary, but it’s worth a try.
Hedervary smirks a little, leans in real close - Maria thinks for a second that she’s about to be kissed, but Hedervary just whispers in her ear, “How about we talk for tonight, then spend some more time together - when you aren’t drunk?”
Maria most definitely isn’t blushing when Hedervary leans back. “Tha’ works too,” she agrees.
One Month Later
Jeanne sighs impatiently, tapping her foot against the pavement. “Where is Maria? Did she not say she had someone she wanted us to meet? And for the love of crisse, she had better not be wearing one of your brassieres again, Arianna!”
“Jeanne, amigo, calm down, we’ve only been waiting for five minutes! You know how Maria gets, she’s probably just running a little bit late, like usual! I’m sure Lovi and Arthur can hold the reservations for us until she gets here.” Arianna smiles at her friend, and Jeanne relaxes.
“You’re right, mon ami, I apologize. It is just that the Hetacafe is the most romantic restaurant in town, and there is no better place for us to meet Maria’s boyfriend. I do not wish for us to lose our reservations for six.”
Arianna laughs a little. “That’s it, Jeanne, calm down, it’s not that big a deal. Ah! Here comes Maria now! And I think that’s the person she wanted us to meet!”
Jeanne turns around to see who exactly this ‘Hedervary’ person that Maria had been talking about for the last month was, and feels the way she views the world tilt just a little. “Eh- Quoi? Hedervary is-”
“Hey guys! The awesome me has arrived!” Maria exclaims, skidding to a stop right in front of the two. “And this, my dear friends, is my significant other-”
“I think it’d be better if I introduced myself, Maria,” the harried brunette panting for breath (Jeanne could sympathize. Nothing could keep up with Maria when she got to running.) interrupted.
“Hello, it’s very nice to meet you and I’m sorry I’m late. My name is Elizabeta Hedervary, owner of Hedervary’s.”
Arianna enthusiastically shakes Elizabeta’s hand, while a stunned Jeanne turns to Maria.
“Mon ami, why did you never tell us that you are gay?”
Maria smiles, that sly, tricky fox grin that means she has pulled off some magnificent prank without the victim ever knowing it. “I'm not. Elizabeta's just... special."
So, at the moment this is set to stay a oneshot. I hope it'll stay a oneshot, at least...

I said it might stay a oneshot. No promises, but maybe, when I'm done with my research paper which I totally should have been working on instead of this XD maybe I'll be able to continue it, and stay more within OP's request.

l-little question though - shouldn't Arianna say "amiga" in this sentence: “Jeanne, amigo, calm down, we’ve only been waiting for five minutes! You know how Maria gets, she’s probably just running a little bit late, like usual! I’m sure Lovi and Arthur can hold the reservations for us until she gets here.”
I mean, Jeanne is a girl... but then I don't really speak spanish so I dunno for sure

D'oy! I thought something looked off about that... I didn't know for sure though, I don't speak Spanish either. It probably should have been amiga.
