It was a good fifteen minutes before Alice emerged from the locker rooms, which was just as well. It gave Alana enough time to quickly change, bawl her eyes out, compose herself once more, and then wait like an abused puppy at the locker rooms exit. That hadn’t gone well, but she wanted to set it straight. She hoped that they could still be friends.
When Alice did emerge Alana hoisted herself up from the ground and ambled over to the smaller woman, her eyes refusing to go anywhere but at the floor.
“Shut up. I have such a desire to rattle your head that I won’t let you speak first. How dare you just barge in on me! It was rude and self centered and I could have forgiven you for that if you hadn’t done..that after.”
Alana winced at the statement and kept her eyes down cast.
“That was completely inexcusable, inconsiderate and stupid.” Alice stopped for a moment and took what seemed like a shaky breath before continuing in a much softer voice. “Couldn’t you have just asked me to prom or something?”
Alana almost jumped at that statement. She had been completely unprepared, but as she finally looked at Alice, she could see the blush that spread her face and how the blond was wringing her hands nervously. A smile split Alana’s face and she enveloped Alice in her arms, lifting up the smaller woman and spinning her around a few times in excitement before setting her down again.
“Alice Kirkland, will you go to prom with me?” Alice straightened her posture and nodded stiffly. It was all Alana needed. She swept up Alice into her arms, bridal style and danced around the gym, as Alice stuttered and demanded that she be let down.

f;adjsf;lk This is just adorable! Especially with Alice ending with that question and then Alana stuttering like that and asking for a shower cap but completely forgetting the name. Cuteee!
