“Sir?” called the driver. “We’re here. Six dollars.”
“Yes, thank you.” Arthur said, digging out his wallet and handing over the money. He stepped out of the cab and angrily made his way into the hotel. Furiously flipping open his phone, he dialed Francis’ number and held the phone to his ear.
“Oui?” Francis answered after three rings.
“What the bloddy hell are you doing calling my boss and telling him I’ve gone missing? You bloody well knew what I was doing!”
*****
And there you have it! Any votes on who Iggy seduces next? I haven't the slightest idea, so your suggestions are apprecitated!
Francis merely laughed in response, which only served to anger Arthur furthur.
“Where are you?”
“Oh you’ll find me soon enough, mon ami.”
Arthur snapped the phone shut and stomped up to his hotel room. He wanted to get changed before seeing anyone anyway. Digging the key card out of his wallet, Arthur slid it in and out of the lock, waited for the light to flash green and opened the door.
“Bonjour.” Francis greeted him, with a smirk from the bed.
“What the hell are you doing in my damn hotel room? How did you get in here?”
“I charmed the young lady at the front desk into giving me the spare key,” he said with a cheeky smile. “Oh, Angleterre, who do those pants belong to?” he taunted. “The Arthur Kirkland I know would never wear jeans.” He said, flashing Arthur a knowing smirk.
“God dammit, Francis.” Arthur yelled, throwing his pants from the night before into one of the dresser drawers. “I don’t know. Is that what you wanted to hear from me? I have absolutely no idea who these pants belong to.”
“I see you’ve begun to take my advice. Good choice mon ami. Though, Amerique is more likely to notice if it is with someone we all know, hmm?” he said suggestively.
“As if I haven’t seen you naked before!” Francis laughed.
Arthur glared at him, but it did nothing in his favor, so he let out a noise of frustration and just decided to get it over with. He quickly pulled clean underwear and trousers out of the top drawer and changed as swiftly as possible. He received a cat call from Francis, which he ignored, as he removed his jacket, exposing the revealing shirt he had been wearing the night before, and quickly stripped himself of it, replacing it with a simple button down shirt, which he covered with one of his usual sweater vests.
“Tsk.”
“What?”
“And you expect to catch our little Amerique, dressing like that?” Francis sighed.
“I’m not buying new clothes for this, Francis. I will wear what I like to wear. I don’t care about fashion or what is in style. This is professional and presentable. Now would you leave me alone?”
“Who is next on your list?” Francis asked, ignoring Arthur’s request.
“I don’t have a list! Do you take anything seriously?”
“The world is too serious. I don’t see why I should add to it. I think you more than make up for any lack of seriousness.”
“Oh fuck off, Francis. Leave me alone. I have a speech to prepare for the meeting tomorrow.”
“Oh, Arthur. No one listens to your speeches but Germany. What’s the point? Go find yourself another ‘friend.’” Francis taunted.
“Francis, if you don’t get the hell out of my hotel room right this second, I’m going to tell Russia that you are quite eager to become one with him in any way he so chooses. You have until the count of three.” Arthur said menacingly. “One.”
He pulled out his cellphone.
“Two.”
He opened it and pulled up a new text message to Russia, holding it out for Francis to see.
happy review and suggestions ^^

I love the whole concept of Russia as the nations' boogeymanXD
Well, I just discovered that the fact that there's sex between one of the main couple with other people -LE GASP!- is one of the things that attracts me most about this fill. Too often it's Tru Wub 4EVAH, can't touch/look/whatever at others or it would be a betrayal of that TRU WUB. I like this because it feels adult; people have other relations, and sometimes, they use sex this way. And I really hope England gets over himself and starts to enjoy his 'encounters' when they begin to be with nations; it's perfectly possible to enjoy physically pleasurable encounters even if they aren't with the person you love ;)
The particular encounter narrated here was very realistic and sexy in its own 'no strings attached' one-night-stand way. And England taking his punk side out of the closet is always a good thing ;) I also like the way he gives himself encouragement about the way his old clothes fit him and all that; Arthur strikes me as the kind of person who's overconfident about his brilliance and power but really insecure about his looks and poise/appeal
France was still nice, didn't see the difference. Maybe more teasing? But then again, he wasn't in bed with Arthur here, so...I like the way he cheers on debauchery happening, tooXD
As for pairings, well, I wouldn't mind seeing Russia (the rival), Canada (the twin), Belgium (just to include a chick?), Spain (hot ex-pirate sex, also very optimistic and cheerful), Australia (also speaks English, like a little brother to America, also an ex-colony of his), China (2nd only to America these days, nearly as powerful and rich), Japan (a common friend of his and America's)...Denmark could also prove interesting, seeing his status as past conqueror of England, and his looks, bigger, blonde, blue-eyed, athletic, loud, obnoxious...
Happy Author!Anon is happy! :D

Wow. That is the first thing I have to say to that. Thank you! As a teenager that knows literally nothing about sex except what I've read in fan fiction, I am very very glad to hear that I've made it seem real (and even sexy :D :D ahaha). But really, thank you!
ANDYES. The 'Tru Wub 4EVAH' thing. That's something I've noticed alot in fanfiction (and it's something i've written myself.../hides in a corner/) and I was pretty excited to get to write a fill for a prompt that gets away from that entirely.
And don't you worry. He will definitely start enjoying the sex he gets ;D (though America will always be there in his mind, even as just one of those pesky in the back of his brain thoughts that never really go away. :)
I agree with you there (about the way England sees himself) and that's part of what I want this story to be about. not just the sex and gaining America as his lover, but also a sort of self realization thing and getting over his insecurities. you know what I mean?
On the subject of future pairings:
Russia - definitely a possibility and I had considered him as being the tipping point, but as of right now it's just a maybe. Canada - we shall see ;D Belgium - I was thinking of that too. She's definitely going to be included. Spain - considering it, but it all depends on if the little Lovi in my head will allow it xD Australia - i hadn't thought of that, but i shall consider it! China - was definitely thinking of using him! Japan - undecided, but unlikely, considering how Japan is with what he expects from people (i.e. that strip where someone hugged him or something and he demanded they marry him at once. xD) Denmark - definitely going to be included!

Hello, anons! I'm back! I tried to get this up before the fourth ended, but it just didn't work out. Happy belated birthday though, Alfie!
*****
Arthur had to admit that he was nervous about facing Alfred after what he had done. He would probably take one look at Arthur and just know. But he couldn’t exactly miss a World Meeting. Besides, his boss was still annoyed with him for disappearing on Saturday night and not reappearing until Sunday morning, so he didn’t want to anger him any further.
So, he steeled himself for the awkward encounter, shook his head and marched out the door before he could change his mind and feign sickness. Besides this would be a prime opportunity to…to…make new friends. Yes. He wasn’t doing what Francis had suggested. He was merely being friendly and if that lead to some other…unmentionable activities than who cared? It wasn’t like he was attached to anyone. He deserved to have fun.
“Iggy!” came an obnoxious shout as an arm threw itself over his shoulders.
Arthur stiffened and turned to glare at Alfred. “Get off of me, you bloody wanker!” he yelped in return. “Do you have nothing better to do other than annoy me?”
“Aw, don’t be like that, Iggy!” Alfred exclaimed boisterously.
“And don’t call me Iggy, you git!” Arthur snapped, shoving Alfred’s arms off his shoulders. Because he definitely didn’t want them staying there. Nope.
“Are you ready for the meetings? I have some wicked super awesome ideas to tell everyone about how to end world hunger, and stop the ice caps from melting, and cure cancer, and all that kind of stuff!” he said proudly. “I bet even you’ll think they’re awesome once you hear them!” he announced, giving Arthur a noogie, at which he promptly winced and shoved Alfred away.
“Oh then please, do enlighten me.” Arthur spat out sarcastically.
“Nuh-uh! You gotta wait till the meeting!” Alfred said with a smirk. “I don’t want you stealing my awesome ideas, now would I?” he said, winking at Arthur and shooting him one of those oh so charming, charismatic grins that-
“As if I would!” Arthur said indignantly, cutting off the tirade his brain was sure to lead off on.
“Anyway Iggy,” Alfred continued, ignoring Arthur’s protests. “You should definitely come to McDonald’s with me after the meeting. I have so much cool stuff to tell you about! Like-”
“Would everyone please have a seat?” Germany shouted above all the other chatter in the room, and Arthur realized they had finally reached the conference room.
Arthur and Alfred promptly took their seats on opposite sides of the table, and everyone else followed suit, taking their usual seats.
Arthur usually paid attention to these meetings-they were important! But he just couldn’t get what Francis said off his mind. Though if he did sleep with someone, it wasn’t because of Francis’ idea! It was just because he felt like it! Anyway, his mind drifted away from whatever Germany was talking about almost immediately and he began scanning the conference table, looking at all the other countries and weighing his options.
He couldn’t picture anyone having sex with Germany, though he had his suspicions that Italy did, so that ruled the both of them out. Spain…no, Romano would kill him. Literally kill him. Like, sic the Mafia on him, blow his brains out and dump him in a river, tied to cement blocks, kill him. So another no. France…been there, done that. China…
Now there’s an idea. He’s not too intimidating and they were on pretty good terms. He would probably appreciate someone coming on to him who isn’t Russia. Now he just had to figure out how to go about doing it.

Once England had made up his mind, he managed to somewhat pay attention to the meeting and take enough notes to satisfy his boss. He got into his usual arguments with Alfred. Honestly. Replacing every organ in a sick person’s body is unnecessary and replacing the healthy organs won’t help cure cancer.
When the meeting ended he quickly got out of his chair and began walking around the table to approach China. Out of the corner of his eye, he spotted Alfred quickly making his way toward him, so he sped up his steps. He couldn’t have Alfred getting in the way…but having America see him might work to his advantage. He slowed his steps, just enough for Alfred to catch up.
“So, Iggy, are you ready to-”
“Hold on Alfred. I need to talk to China for a moment.” Arthur interrupted him.
“What?!” Alfred exclaimed. “What do you need to talk to that Commie for?!”
Arthur smirked inwardly. Yes, things were going exactly as planned. “Oh shut up, Alfred, and let me talk to him. Then we can talk about whatever bollocks you want to bother me about.”
Alfred looked slightly hurt, but Arthur wouldn’t allow himself to feel bad. “But-”
“Oh, quit being so childish.” Arthur scolded, before walking the last few feet over to China. He took a deep breath to calm himself, (he couldn’t help but be slightly nervous), before tapping China on the shoulder. “Hello Yao,” he said politely, careful not to make direct eye contact with the tall asian man, knowing that he considered it rude.
Now, of all the people to come up to him suddenly, Arthur was the last person Yao would have thought of. Sure, they were on fairly good terms these days, but because of their shaky past, they never really spent much time together. "Hello Arthur. Can I help you, aru?"
"Oh um. I was just wondering how, uh...how Hong Kong is doing? I haven't spoken to him in a long time and I know we didn't leave off on the best terms, but...I still care..." he said. And it wasn't a lie. He really did care.
"Hong Kong?" Yao stared at Arthur, surprised, though he kept his expression calm. "He's doing fine, aru. His English is still very good. You taught him well." He had long since decided to stop being bitter about his brother being taken from him, since Hong Kong was back now and had gotten an excellent education as well.
"Oh, thank you. I'm glad he's doing well." he said. "Um..." he said, swallowing nervously, trying to ignore the whining that was coming from Alfred, standing behind him, telling him to hurry up. "This is very sudden and all, but I was, uh, wondering if you'd like to chat over dinner. Or something. You don't have to or anything, it's just a suggestion." he said, ignoring Alfred's indignant shout of protest. "I had thought of ordering some Chinese but I totally understand if you don't want to. Alfred's Chinese food sucks compared to the real thing and all, but...yeah." he said quickly, clearing his throat in an embarrassed manner.
Yao noticed Alfred and started to collect his things, knowing that these two usually went off to one of Alfred's burger places after meetings. But he was once again surprised by Arthur ignoring the young nation and... offering to have dinner with him? "If... If that is alright, aru. I could cook, if you like." Even after all these years, he still remembered how Arthur loved his cooking.
Arthur brightened up considerably when he realized Yao had accepted his offer. "Oh! That would be lovely!" he said with a smile, inwardly grinning as America squawked in irritation. "If you don't mind, of course."
"No, I don't mind, aru." ‘But I think someone else does...’ America looked positively horrified by Arthur's suggestion of dinner. Honestly, as much as he traded and interacted with that child, he still couldn't understand him.
"That sounds great, then!" Arthur said, feigning obliviousness to Alfred's protests. "What time and where should I meet you?"
"Five is a good time, aru. And my hotel room is fine. Room 435. I must go now and buy ingredients." Giving America a confused look and a shrug, Yao hurried by them, not wanting to be caught in an argument.
“Alright. Goodbye, Yao.” Arthur said, waving goodbye, and feeling rather good about himself as he did so.

And finally, he turned around to see Alfred, red in the face and obviously angry.
“Why did you do that?” Alfred fumed. “I thought we were going to McDonalds! Why do you even wanna have dinner with that Commie bastard? You have me!” he whined.
“Well why shouldn’t I?” Arthur countered irritatedly. “You don’t own me and last I checked I don’t own you anymore. What claim do you have to me?” he said, his voice raising slightly in volume, ignoring the strange looks he was getting from the other nations. “Why shouldn’t I have friends?”
“Oh yeah, like this is just a ‘friends’ dinner.” Alfred spat, wondering why this was making him so angry.
“What’s that supposed to mean?” Arthur asked.
“Oh, like you don’t know!” Alfred snapped. “I’ll go to McDonalds by myself. Have a nice date.” he said angrily, and stalked off.
‘What was that all about?’ Arthur thought to himself, slightly dazed by the turn of events. There was no way that Alfred could know about Francis or that human. Why the hell was he reacting so strongly to Arthur going on a date? That was what it was really, though Arthur admitted he was probably not going to pursue a relationship with China.
It was merely a…a cultural exchange.
*****
Arthur showed up at Yao's hotel room door at five o'clock sharp, bottle of a traditional Chinese wine in hand. He knocked lightly on the door having managed to keep his nerves to a minimum. He was stepping out on a ledge here. He didn't know what Yao wanted, or if Yao was even willing to go as far as Arthur was hoping for. What if he expected more afterwards? Arthur took a deep breath and decided to just take it step by step. And hopefully not make himself out to be a complete idiot by the end of the night
Yao had just finished preparing a simple Chinese meal, nothing too fancy, when he heard a knock on the door. "Coming, aru!" Opening the door, he saw Arthur and bowed politely before letting him in. "The food just finished. I hope you like it, aru!" He took the bottle of wine from Arthur and set it on the table where the food was waiting.
Arthur smiled at Yao when he opened the door and stepped in, letting the smell of the food waft over him. "It smells delicious." he said sincerely. "It's been far too long since I've had good Chinese food."
"It's just some things I remember you enjoying. It is nothing fancy, aru." Though Yao smiled, always liking compliments on his cooking.
Arthur nodded. "Thank you very much. I really appreciate it." he said, not sure of what to say. He never was good at social situations. As a pirate and an empire, he was more of the 'take what you want and leave no survivors' kind of nation, and now he was, he had to admit, pretty lonely, what with his only consistent social interaction being arguing with France and trying to ignore America.
Yao waited for Arthur to sit down as he poured some of the wine into nice glassed and made sure everything was in place. Still smiling, he sat down. "I do hope you like the food. It has been decades since I last cooked for you."

"I'm sure I will." Arthur said, grinning lightly at Yao. Now that the other man had sat down, he served himself some of the food and waited for Yao to do the same before taking a bite, always the polite English Gentleman. "Mmm. This is absolutely delicious, Yao. I can't believe it's been so long since I last had it."
"Well, we have both been busy these past few decades, I suppose. But that is all in the past now and there is no reason that you and I cannon be friends, aru~." Taking small bites of food, Yao studied Arthur across the table, still trying to figure out why the other man was here. "So... You wanted to talk about Hong Kong?"
"Yes, but not only that." Arthur said casually, trying not to sound like the sleazeball he felt like. Because saying 'No, I just wanted an excuse to get into your hotel room and hopefully your pants.' probably wouldn't go over very well. "As you said, we've both been very busy and we haven't talked outside of meetings in a very long time."
"Yes, I suppose that is true. Spending time with friends is always nice, aru." Smiling, Yao drank some wine, surprised at how good it was. Arthur really did remember some things from so long ago. "Well, Hong Kong is doing well these days. He spends a lot of time with Taiwan, teaching her things that you taught him."
Arthur smiled back, glad that everything seemed to be going smoothly. "That's good. She seems like a lovely girl." he said. 'Even though she insists on flirting so shamelessly with Alfred.' he thought, half recognizing how pathetic he sounded, thinking that.
"Thank you! I tried raising her well, aru, but she's so interested in the western world. She's become good friends with America as well." Yao frowned a little at that but decided not to really go into politics tonight. They got enough of that at work.
"Hah...So I've noticed." England said, not bothering to mention how much time he wasted wondering exactly how close the two were becoming.
"Is there anything else you wanted to discuss, aru? Not to offend, but this was rather sudden of you."
"None taken." Arthur replied. "It was rather sudden, I apologize. Uh, nothing in particular." he said. "Certainly not politics. I'm sure we've both had enough of it at the meetings."
"Yes, I have had enough political talk for today. How is America? He seems to be doing well." Yao was trying to slowly broach the topic of why Arthur had left the young country after the meeting like that.
"He's uh, he's doing well, I guess." Arthur said, scratching the back of his neck sheepishly. "We got into a bit of an argument this afternoon. I'm not sure why, but he doesn't seem to like the idea of me approaching other nations. He was being rather childish, actually." he said, not admitting, even to himself, that he had been behaving the same way when he had seen America and Taiwan together.
"I was wondering about that... You and America always eat together after meetings, so I was surprised when you asked me. Is something the matter between the two of you?" Yao honestly couldn't understand why those two were so childish around each other.
"Ah, no." England said. "Not that I know of at least. I've been wanting to branch out and try to befriend other nations for awhile. I just happened to do something about it today, and...you saw the rest." Arthur said awkwardly.
He bet Yao could see right through him. Francis said that all the nations except Alfred realized how Arthur felt about the stupid American, but he hoped Francis had been exaggerating.
Yao raised an eyebrow and then sighed, shaking his head. "I see, aru." Honestly, what were these two doing? They had been dancing around each other and their feelings since the World Wars and still hadn't done a damn thing about it.
Arthur blushed lightly, knowing he had been found out. What did he do now? Did he go for it? Did he wait to see if Yao would make a move? Let it go? He hoped that was it. He was feeling too embarrassed to do much of anything at all, and so he just moved to finish eating the food in front of him.

Yao just smiled and finished eating his food in silence. Sometimes the younger nations could be so silly. Were they really blind to each other's feelings like that?
Arthur, having finished his food, took the last sip of his wine, sure that he had messed up the entire evening. He supposed he wasn't going to succeed in every endeavor. And this one was most definitely awkward.
"Well, uhm. Thank you very much for the food. It really was wonderful." he said sincerely after Yao finished his own food.
"You are welcome, aru! If you ever want my food again, just ask! I am sure Hong Kong would like to see you again as well." Yao grabbed the dirty dishes to begin cleaning them. While he wasn't exactly sure why Arthur was here, he didn't mind the other's presence.
"Um. All right." Arthur said, glad that he was still welcome to become friends with the older nation. It would be nice to see Hong Kong again. "Well then, uh, goodnight." Arthur finished lamely.
"Goodnight! I'll tell Hong Kong you stopped by!"
"Great. Uh, have a lovely evening and thanks again for dinner. I'll see you at the meeting tomorrow."
"Yes, aru~. It has been nice!" Yao smiled as he led Arthur to the door.
Arthur smiled at the older nation and nodded as he opened the door. He waved politely before turning around and walking down the hallway.
Yao bowed as Arthur left, still smiling. "That was fun, aru~!"

Oh yeah, and I'm glad Arthur can pick delicious wine, even if he can't cook. And China is rather ... diplomatic not to comment on Arthur's cooking skills, isn't he? XD

“Shut up, frog.” Arthur answered. “Now turn around, I’m getting changed.
And he smiled, as Francis was out the door.
Now all he needed was a good cup of Earl Grey.

Canada - we shall see ;D
Belgium - I was thinking of that too. She's definitely going to be included.
Spain - considering it, but it all depends on if the little Lovi in my head will allow it xD
Australia - i hadn't thought of that, but i shall consider it!
China - was definitely thinking of using him!
Japan - undecided, but unlikely, considering how Japan is with what he expects from people (i.e. that strip where someone hugged him or something and he demanded they marry him at once. xD)
Denmark - definitely going to be included!
thank you so much for your awesome comment!

"That was fun, aru~!"

mwahahahaha. you were expecting smut, weren't you >:D well. Arthur can't succeed every time. Yao was RP'd by my lovely friend who RP'd France. We actually originally intended to have smut but...my Artie was just too awkward. XD (sorry for the excessive failposts tonight. it's 3AM here.

I love this fill so much; Arthur's sexy!fail is awesome whether he scores or not. <3 And I like how Arthur can have warm, fuzzy feelings for his former colonies while actively trying to seduce China. Just awesome. Not to mention Alfred and Arthur's mutual ... emotional stupidity. You know, their huge, flaming blind spots for each other? Yeah, that emotional stupidity. A+, anon.
This is so fun to read, anon. And, uh, I didn't really expect more smut right away; jealous!Alfred-type plot needed to happen, after all. XD
