"You were saying?" Latvia said with a triumphed smile. Sealand glared back and before Latvia knew it, he was rolling around in the snow, trying to punch Sealand. "That hurt!" He growled. Sealand had punched him in the face and he was trying to do the same back.
"It was supposed to be!" Sealand said with a sneer as he kicked Latvia off and into the snow. "And I'm about to make it hurt a lot m--" Both dogs appeared out of no where and jumped on the two. "Aaah! Blackie s-stop it!" "Berlitz! Behave yourself!"
When the two dogs finally left them alone, both boys were exhausted. "J-Just watch, Latvia. I'll p-pumel you in a moment!" Sealand said in between pants.
"S-s-sure you would!" Latvia was panting just as much.
The two boys were silent for a moment and the only thing heard in between the snow was their pants.
"Hey, Latvia." Sealand finally said. "Why do you want to take over all of Europe?"
Latvia frowned. "I don't want to take over all of Europe."
"It sure seems that way."
Latvia stayed silent before answering. "I just don't want to be weak and walked all over again." He whispered. He barely stuttered anymore. He didn't want to be reduced to that again. "If I don't keep control of all of them, I just know they'll bring me down. Why do you keep trying to stop me?"
"Um...It was the right thing to do?"
"How is that the right thing?!"
"Well..." Sealand tried his best to think of a way to word this. "I didn't like it when you changed." He admitted. "Latvia, you might've been cowardly back then, but I liked you better back then! I don't like the way you've become!" Sealand closed his eyes and when he opened them, he saw Latvia standing over him.
Did he see that right? Latvia seemed to be smiling at him. He hadn't smiled at him in forever!
"Come on, Berlitz!" Latvia said with a whistle before walking away.
Blackie nudged at his owner's friend who had fallen quiet after Latvia left.
--
"Was? You want to walk Blakie again?" Germany asked Sealand uncertainly. "I don't want to bother you..."
"Its alright." Sealand said as he pet Blackie. "You have a lot of work to get done, right?"
"Well, if you're alright with it."
These sort of vague meetings between him and Latvia happened frequently. The only time Sealand screwed up was when Latvia had told Estonia to go walk Berlitz instead.
"Hey, America, do you think I can ever become friends with Latvia again?" America looked up from crossword puzzle he was doing in the newspaper. "It can happen. I'm friends with Russia now."
"But Latvia's so aggressive with everyone around him."
"Well, that's the difference right? Everyone on our side are living peacefully between each other. We just have trade treaties and such. If Latvia keeps everyone under his control like that... It won't last long. They would rebel and it would all tumble down."
"...I can't say I really want that to happen though." Sealand admitted.
But it did happen and Latvia was reduced to an economic mess when all ties and treaties were broke off from him.
"I guess this is how Russia felt." Latvia whispered. "I'm all alone now..."
"You're not alone. I'm still here." Sealand said as he walked up to Latvia.
--
"You know, its almost like magic how those two mend over like it was nothing." England said with a sigh as he watched Sealand play with Latvia in the snow. Despite being older, the two were still kids at heart. "Its like all the trouble they caused us was nothing."
"Ah, well... Better that everything turned out alright." France said as he put the newspaper down.
"Yea, history repeats itself." England said with a slight smile before sighing. "Come on, we'd better get them up here before they catch a cold from being out there too long."

That...was so sweet. I love how France and England just watched and commented on the whole thing like a Greek chorus or those two old guys on the muppets. Short and sweet, and totally worth every second.
Aw, that was cute! I like how they behave very similar yet aren't carbon copies of the other two, and Latvia's nervous mannerisms are still present. Sealand is epic here! I liked America and Russia in the background, but I found France and England, the original enemies turned rivals turned "friends" turned...something else?, the best thing. They started the whole trendXD poor Germany, always in the middle of the madnessXD
