My Alfred 1c/12

Russia heard and saw their conversation but didn’t comment on it, she could be patient with her Alfred, let him take a while to get used to the idea of them being together. At the next meeting she would begin her attempt to win his heart in earnest. For now she left the meeting with everyone else, restraining herself from getting close to Alfred. The plan ride home was spent daydreaming about what kinds of things they would do once they were actually together, once she giggled and saw the pilot jump a bit so she tried to keep that to a minimum. When she got home Natalya was waiting for her by the front door and helped her out of her coat as she asked, “How was the meeting sister? Are you and America courting now?”

She nodded and pulled off her boots before slipping her feet into her green house slippers, “Yes, he’ll need some convincing but I’ll make him see things my way.”

Natalya flipped her hair and said, “How stupid he must be to even resist you for a moment, you’re so prefect and beautiful.”

Ivana laughed, “You’re making me blush.” She wasn't really, she was used to Natalya showering her every action with praise. Natalya had always adored her to the point where Ivana was glad they were both women or Natalya would have surely wanted them to get married. But since things were as they were she had an adorable little sister who almost worshipped the ground she walked on. “But he’s worth whatever work I need to do to make him see that us falling in love is only natural.”

“Of course.” It was clear from her tone that she thought Alfred was unworthy of such attentions from her but was unwilling to contradict her sister’s opinion. Russia could understand her doubts, on the surface America seemed stupid and rude but he really was kindhearted and could be such a good friend to those he cared about. He was also clever in a way that most nations his age weren’t, all through the Cold War he had matched her and stood up to her. It was important for her future husband to be her equal or she’d walk all over him. She followed Natalya deeper into the house, nodding as she listened to her fill her in about everything that had happened while she was away and imagining what it would be like to bring Alfred home. One day soon she would know.

Go get your man, fem!Russia! America is just being stubborn. :) He was checking you out, that's a first step!

And I love how, for Russia, it's when she brings America home and not the opposite way around. Obviously she wants a strong man, but she isn't going to be the weak little woman.

I'm loving this, anon. I hope there's more!

Though, from what I understand, the name "Ivana/Ivanna" is actually not used much in Russia, but more so in the Czech Republic/Slovakia. She'd probably named something along the lines of Dariya, Mariya, Yelena, Aleksandra, etc. For antoher "I" name there's always Irina. Just saying.
