-Phone call-
*beep* "Yes, hello! Hero speaking!"
"Yeah, hey Mom?"
"Oh, hey. Is this Washington? Hey! Long time, no talk!"
"Yeah..."
"Is something wrong? Y'know you can talk to good ol' Dad."
"Alaska's missing."
"..."
"Mom, ya still there?"
"I'm sorry. There must be a bad connection."
"Somehow I doubt that. You're on the White House phone, right?"
"Then I've gone deaf."
"Mom!"
"Alright! Alright!"
"Well?"
"Did he leave a note? Anything?"
"Actually, yeah. Hang on a sec, it's kinda hard to read. I think it says..."
"Dear Mommy,
I went to find Daddy. Don't worry about me. I'll be back soon.
Love, Alaska.
"..."
"Mom?"
"Yeah, Washington?"
"You okay?"
"I'm... perfectly fine."
"...Mom?"
"Yeah, Washington?"
"You're a horrible liar."
-End Call-
Obama was in the Oval Office. Taking a short break from work, chatting idly with his wife. It was a rare moment of peace.
"Mr. President!" The door slammed open.
So, of course it would be ruined.
Obama groaned, rubbing his temples. His country was a handful, both in the literal and metaphorical sense.
"Yes, America?"
"I need to take an immediate leave, sir."
"Whatever for?"
"My son has gone missing!"
"I didn't know you had children." Michelle chimed in.
"I have fifty actually."
The Obamas were taken aback. "Fifty?!"
"Yes. They're my states."
"Oh, wow." Michelle breathed.
"So, wait. Who ran away?" Obama pressed, leaning forward.
"My son, Alaska."
Michelle made a face. "Was it Palin?"
The seemingly-young man waved her off. "Naw she quit already. Remember?"
"Naw, she quit already. Remember?"
"Oh well, that's true."
Obama steepled his fingers, assessing the blond before him "I'm going to assume you are going to search for your son?"
"Yes, sir."
"I see. Please hurry back then."
In all fairness, the economic times was hard on the poor blond. Not to mention, the current Health Care debate must be one giant headache. Really, it was the least Obama could do for the country he cared for.
"Thank you, sir!"
Not wasting a second, America was out the door and down the hall. a hasty goodbye thrown over his shoulder.
I'm absolutely loving it so far Anon! I really love the way you wrote how Alaska speaks.
I'm kind of curious to why Washington was the one who found the note (and was able to read it), or do they all know? Either way, America's in for a long ride.

Ack! Sorry! If I could take this down, i would >.<
I was going to make a few revisions. Nothing plot changing, just something to make the writing seem smoother. I am never writing while half asleep, ever!!
But, yeah. I'll update soon. I'll post a different version of the prolouge and the first chapter on the fill list. Just to edit out all the grammer mistakes and iffy things that are really just me being anal.

His happiness was enough for Obama.
