The Battle for Alaska

In 1867 Russia sold Alaska to the United States. In July of 1958 Alaska Statehood Act was signed by President Eisenhower and in January 1959 Alaska became the 49th State. Fanon, at least those that believe in State-tans w/M-Preg generally say that at some point before Alaska became a state Russia and America sleep together in some way and America becomes pregnant. After the baby is born for whatever reason, probably because Alaska belongs to the US at the time, America gets sole-to main custody with Russia either getting to visit now and again or not having any interaction with the child at least through the end of the Cold War (if not longer) and seems fine with it.
For this fic I want Russia not to be so easily swayed. He wants the child, and by extension, he wants Alaska itself back as well. America obviously doesn't want that to happen so the first, and only, physical battle of the Cold War "The Battle for Alaska" takes place. It's messy, it's dirty, part of it takes place in winter, it's vicious and Russia comes out the victor. After he wins he gives America an ultimatum. Give me the child and agree to have no further contact with it or I'll continue my invasion path into the rest of the US or even Canada. Devastated but talked into being practical, and not willing to risk Canada, America reluctantly agrees. He has no contact with the child until after the Cold War ends and the USSR falls.
At that point he demands, or begs, to see Alaska at least once. Russia agrees. When he goes to visit he's expect the child to hate him, to not even known who he is and to have had his head filled for decades with stories about how horrible America is & ect. Instead he discovers the exact opposite that the child knows and loves him. What happens after that I leave open for the writer (since long request is long and detailed already) I'd love for Russia & America to get together but it's not necessary. I just want lots of angst and heartbreak and maybe a happy ending of some sort. (Please no rape, non-con, dub-con in Alaska's conception.)
Bonus: America is actually still pregnant with Alaska during the battle and so Alaska is taken from him right after it's born. Russia does allow him to have a little time with the child before it's taken away because he knows that'll hurt America even more then he's already hurting.

Thirded! :D Here's some fic fuel:
In the Russiamerica community someone said that Russians have a different reckoning regarding the Alaska territory 'purchase' The poster said Russia wanted to rent Alaska to the US for a period of 99 years for the initial sum of $5,000,000 (at least I think that's the amount orz) and that the US sent payment on a ship that sank, thus Russia was never compensated for the rental nor given Alaska back after the rental term. So, yes, even canonically Ivan wouldn't want to just give up Alaska XD
I admit I think that partially inspired this prompt though not directly. It certainly would give them a public face for the battle to be about. More about the whole "you never paid us properly for this and it's time to give it back now" and less about the whole personification of Alaska custody battle issue which normal people might not understand quite so much, though that is very much the real reason for it.

So I really, like really want to do this and already have an unhealthy number of pages going. But It's the year of pregnancy (I am nowhere near the end of the USSR and reconciliation just yet) and was just wondering how exactly do you want Russia to be, as one of my harder points is still trying to make Russia be 'human' and not rapetruck.
