"Sí, Romano. Mi vida que sentencio-
"Spain!" Prussia barked and the Spaniard snapped out of it.
"Sorry," He apologized bashfully, "Force of habit. Yes, Romano."
"And what did he do exactly?" Prussia asked giving a slightly wave of his glove.
"He...he's in love with England." Spain muttered looking down at his dark colored drink.
"So? Screw him, why don't you go chase after Norden Italien?" Prussia asked taking a big gulp of his beer. Spain only looked at him in horror, go after someone else?
te digo que vida no tengo
How could he forget someone like Romano? It is true, he had tried to trade Romano for Veneziano in the past but that was before he really got to know the Italian really well. Romano was feisty, high spirited and so full of passion. He did not just live but loved to live and Spain could only hope that one day Romano could love to live with him.
y es por tu culpa
Yes, later it had been all different. He wasn't just Spain's cute little tomato, he had become someone Spain wanted to protect. Away from the war and suffering that he himself grew up with after Rome had fell out of power.
Then, sometimes in the 1800's, long after Romano had left his house to become Italy with Veneziano something had stirred within him. Something that was more than a fatherly love, stronger than he had ever felt for the rest of his former empire.
"I need to go." He put the last of his euros down and got up to leave.
"Wait? You just got here a few seconds ago!" Prussia called after him as he left. However the East German could do nothing but watch, God...it was bad enough when West was going through this crap.
It no longer mattered whether it was day or night anymore. Why couldn't he see it before? The way he called England 'Lord England'. With a title of respect, with awe. Perhaps he was a fool to think that Southern Italy would ever return his long kept feelings.
Romano had left his house when Spain returned and for once he was glad for South Italy's absence.
O Dio mio
Spain fetched the small crucifix that hung around his neck and inside he begged God for mercy. Even the tiniest bit to soothe his aching soul. Return Romano to him, let England not see what he saw in him! Or, if that was too much to ask of the Divine, that he may kill the love Spain held for Romano, because the pain was too much for his heart to bear.
He could hear himself beginning to sob in between words.
Yes, for the sweet love of God, save him!

Ah~ I feel Spain's pain there... ;A;
Urm, if it's not too much trouble, I was wondering if you could provide a translation for the Spanish phrases? I don't speak Spanish nor do I trust online translators enough for the meaning of the words. ^^
OP is eager for more!!! \o/

"Sí, Romano. Mi vida que sentencio-"
Yes, Romano. My life that condemns [or that sentences]
"te digo que vida no tengo"
I told you that life doesn't have
"y es por tu culpa"
And it's your fault
"las noches igual que los días de soledad"
The nights are the same as the days of solitude
"O Dio mio"
Oh give me
[Honestly, I think the writer-anon might have forgotten the S at the end of "dio" which would change the meaning to god instead of the verb "dar".]
"ayúdame para matar este amor que está en mi corazón"
Help me kill this love which is in my heart
"O, Madona, tiene piedad de mi, un pecador de Eva. Mi corazón te implora clemencia porque lo tiene el enfermero de amor. Por favor, ¡Por el amor de Dios!"
O, Madona, have mercy on me, a sinner of Eve [I'm taking a guess, since I've never read the bible in Spanish, that Eva refers to Eve, since the name translates well that way]. My heart implores your mercy because it holds the sickness of love. Please, for the love of God!
"bendito Dio sálvame"
Blessed God [again with the missing S?] save me.

I hope I didn't miss anything or seriously mess up something.
