Job is still going. It's knuckle-bitingly boring most of the time, so I read Jezebel a lot, GChat, and pretend to look like I'm worth my paycheck.
I can't decided what to do with my tax refund. The wise thing would be to start up my Roth IRA. The second most wise thing to do would be to buy a bed since, yes, Virginia, I sleep on a futon mattress on the floor. I live like a squatter, tis true. I have commitment problems. The thing is that beds are expensive, or, rather, mattresses and boxsprings are expensive and I have a serious ICK about buying said items used on craigslist.
Then there's the whole, ok, I can buy a platform bed, but if I shell out for something new, how's it gonna go in the grand decorating scheme in my head. Nonexistant, of course. There's one I like well enough on CB2, but it's a bit masculine and modern-looking. Still, it's better than sleeping on the floor, yeah?
I also realized (today) that I could use the money and take a goddamn vacation this summer, somewhere fun. San Francisco (I've always wanted to go) or Malaysia (my friend will be teaching in KL starting in June) or Turkey (also someplace I SHOULD have already been to but haven't) or Paris.
Or I could use the money to buy some clothes that aren't thrift store or consignment store and some shoes too for that matter.
My utterly pathetic income for the past several years has made me indecisive when it comes to spending money. I guess it's a pretty good problem to have.
