I've decided that yoga and volleyball aren't enough, so I've decided to start swimming at the local (indoor) pool. There's a free swim M-F for an hour in the afternoon. I went for the first time today and realized two things.
1) I can't swim for shit. I haven't been swimming...in a long time. In a pool, probably close to 8 or 9 years! I'd swim a length and need to stop to regain the rhythm of my breath. You'd think that after doing yoga for so long this wouldn't be an issue, but this is not so. If I had disposable money, I'd take swimming lessons there.
2) It was awesome anyway. My back feels amazing (it's been all crunchy lately) and my arms definitely got a good workout. I am going to be sore tomorrow, and yet I'm going to go to yoga anyway.
I'm going to try to go to the pool 2x a week. Get back into bikini shape.
Now if you'll excuse me, I need to get back to my carton of icecream ;)
Oh, you're wondering about my job prospects, since I'm poverty-stricken? Alas, none. It's so bleak, folks.
