Summary: Britain takes America out trick-or-treating for the first time.
A/N: I remember my baby cousin’s first Halloween and he was dressed like a duck, so his cheeks looked puffier than ever. I thought America would look puffy, too. XD Too cute to resist.
Britain fixed America’s costume before they left for the night. He didn’t want for his baby brother to have such a heavy costume on, so he decided America should dress up as a pumpkin. His cheeks even looked puffier than usual and he had to resist the urge to pinch his cheeks. It was just not like him to lose his composure like that and he had to set an example to his brother.
“Alright, then, I think we are ready,” Britain announced as he handed America his candy bag.
“You’re not going to dress up?” America asked. His little voice made Britain blush for no reason.
“Uh, well, I thought you should be the one dressing up since it is your first time trick-or-treating,” Britain explained.
“Aw, but that won’t be fun if it’s just me.”
“Don’t worry about that, America,” Britain reassured. “I want you to have a good time.”
“But I want for you to have fun with me,” America said.
“I will, just not in a costume.”
“I want you to dress up!” America chirped. “Please? I want for you and me to be in costumes.”
“But I don’t have a costume,” Britain explained. “It’s such short notice that I can’t make one on the spot.”
“But you’re my big brother; you have everything.”
That kid was observant and Britain had to admit he was right. “Alright, then, let’s look and see what costumes I have in my room.”
They went to Britain’s room and began to see what he could wear. America came across red fabric and began to pull on it, prompting Britain to retrieve it.
His old pirate uniform. The one he used for inflicting terror, breaking bones, and defeating navies.
“Wear this!” America said.
“I can’t wear this!”
“Yes, you can! You can wear anything because it’s Halloween.”

How a baby explained that to him was beyond Britain, but he gave in and decided to please his brother, even if the attire reminded him of bones and terror.
Taking his brother’s hand, America led them out of their home and began their trek for candy.
They visited France’s house, who was actually being nice that night and was not arguing with Britain. However, they did scowl at each other, but France softened up when he saw America in his pumpkin costume. He was too cute to resist and wanted to give him all the candy he had.
They visited Spain’s house, who also had a silent face down with Britain before giving America candy. He didn’t soften up as much, because he knew his brother was a lot cuter than Britain’s, but America’s chubby face could always get a smile out of anyone.
Sweden and Finland did not show any signs of aggression and gave America so much candy, his bag looked more swollen than his baby cheeks.
“See, Britain, we’re having a really good time,” America pointed out.
Britain smiled and agreed with his baby brother as the rest of the countries glared daggers at him for wearing his pirate uniform. America did not know how much damage his older brother caused.
