Title: Scary Movies
Characters: Spain, America
Challenge: 13- Spook
Bonus Words: bones, terror
Rating: PG
Summary: America wants to watch a scary movie. Spain knows better.

“I told you, America,” Spain said with a sigh. “You should not have chosen to watch a horror movie.” He glanced over at his partner, who was currently whimpering, his voice partially muffled by the large pillow he had grabbed.

“I-I'll be fine,” America responded. “It's Halloween, right? I should be a-allowed to do this at least on Hal-Halloween.”

Spain decided not to mention the fact that America did this all the time. He raised an eyebrow, reaching over to pat America's head. “Really,” he said. “Your bones are practically shaking in terror. Why don't we turn this off and do something else?”

However, as per usual, America wanted to watch it all the way through. “I to-told Canada I could handle it,” he mumbled. “And Canada bet me ten dollars that I couldn't. So I'm gonna show Canada just who's boss!”

Before he could do, though, a monster jumped out at the main character in the movie, frightening America so much he burst into tears, grabbing Spain in a death grip and sobbing into his shoulder. “Turn it off, turn it off, turn it off, turn it off!” he begged.

“Si, si,” Spain grumbled, blindly reaching over on America's side and snatching up the remote, changing the channel. “You giant baby.”

Title: Dora
Characters: Spain, America
Challenge: 13- Spook
Bonus Words: terror, pumpkin
Rating: G
Summary: After watching the horror movie ends in failure, Spain decides to watch Dora the Explorer.

America relaxed when he heard the sounds of a commercial and decided to glance up from Spain's shoulder, his eyes rimmed red and tear streaks down his cheek. Spain couldn't help but feel bad for the guy.

“Lo siento, America,” he whispered, softly kissing America's lips. He could still see that small amount of terror in his lover's eyes, and his heart went out to him. “We should have turned it off sooner.”

“N-No,” America replied, shaking his head. A blush grew on his face as he realized just how much he freaked out. “Can...can we keep this between ourselves? I don't want Canada knowing I failed.”

Spain chuckled at that. “Of course,” he said, ruffling America's hair. “Now, why don't we watch whatever show this is, hm?”

“What show is it?” America asked, rubbing at his nose and leaning back on the couch.

“Eh...” Spain checked the information. “Dora the Explorer. It's some Halloween special. They're trying to find their lost pumpkin or something, I guess.” He sighed. Watching some kid's show didn't sound all that appealing to him, especially when people used Dora to learn Spanish.

When America didn't say anything, Spain glanced over at the superpower. “America? Are you alright?”

America was frozen still, his eyes closed and his breath coming out in short gasps.

It was then Spain remembered that America was more frightened of Dora the Explorer than he was of any horror movie. “Ah! L-Lo siento, America, didn't mean...” He quickly switched channels again.

America still burst into another bout of tears.

Title: The Aftermath
Characters: Spain, America
Challenge: 13- Spook
Bonus Words:
Rating: PG
Summary: Spain is finally able to settle America down for the night.

It took a lot of coaxing, but Spain was finally able to lead America down the hallway and into their bedroom, apologizing over and over for his mistake. “I honestly forgot, cariño, truly I did, I wouldn't have left it on that channel if I had remembered-”

“I-It's alright, dude,” America whispered, glancing around as Spain settled him into bed.

“No, it's not alright. I should remember things that involve my lover.” The Mediterranean nation looked worried as he kissed America's forehead. “Please forgive me. I promise I won't do it ever again.”

America managed a light smile, though it was still rather shaky. “I said it's alright.” He kissed Spain right back before laying down in bed, pulling the covers up to his chin. “You didn't mean to, and I forgive you.”

Spain lay down next to him, curling up into the American's warm body. “How long have you been scared of Dora?” he asked in a whisper.

“Um...” America pursed his lips in thought before answering. “Ever since she came out in the 1990's, I guess,” he said. “There was something about her that freaked the hell out of me, you know? Like those Teletubbies.” He visibly shivered at the mention of them. “Even now, I can't watch any of the kid's channels. Something always scares me about them.”

Spain smiled sadly. “I won't make that mistake again,” he promised.

“Yeah, you've told me. Don't worry, I'm fine now.” He pulled Spain even closer to himself, burying his head in the crook of Spain's neck. “Just don't let go of me. Dora might come and get me.”

The elder nation couldn't help but laugh. “Si,” he said. “I won't let go.”
[Scary Movies]: Not much here. Except I love SpAmerica. SpUS. Whatever. And I hate scary movies.

[Dora]: I never really watched Dora the Explorer, so I don't know much about it...

[The Aftermath]: Crappy title is crappy.
