Summary: Antonio sees little Lovino off on his first day of school.
It was always hard to watch your child leave.
Antonio frowned softly at the clock on the mantel as he waited for Lovino. The small Italian had been working hard to get all of his things together, and finally he came wandering towards the front door, a large bag full of books on his back. Antonio was sure that Lovino was close to teetering over backward. It was an adorable sight.
"Hurry, Lovino!" he said as excitedly as he could, hurrying the boy towards the door. "You don't want to miss your bus, sí?"
The Italian huffed and stumbled his way out of the house. "Sh-shut up, you bastard. I won't miss it!"
Honestly, Antonio found it amazing how much a child could grow up when they realized they were going to school to learn to be a big kid. And Antonio was very proud of Lovino for being as determined about the whole thing as he was.
But still, he thought as he watched the bus carrying his little boy drive out of sight, it was always hard to watch your child leave.
Even for just a day.
