Summary: Hetalia x Hunger Games crossover; Natalya Braginski leaves her family behind and dives headfirst into a future that is striked against her.
This was Natalya's fifth year of the Reaping, Ivan's seventh, and Irunya's last. The Braginskis would soon all be graduated from this mess of Reapings, tesserae, and worried cries in the night in fear of one of their precious family members being lost forever. This would all be over soon, they chanted in their heads as the ripe pink woman drew a name from a glass bowl labeled "Males". She picked around the thin slips, a sickly sound of French manicure against paper being right in ear's length.
"Ivan Braginski!"
Natalya's eyes widened, her heart beat fast, sweat trickled down her neck, and her grip tightened.
No. No. No. NO. NO. NO. NO. NO!
"NO!" She screamed as they approached, those damn guards that threatened to take the love of her life away from her forever. "NO NO NO NO NO!"
"NATALYA!" Ivan boomed, turning away from her as some guards led him, others held her back. She thrashed, screamed, and kicked; they held her with more strength than she could ever muster. "STAY BACK!" He shouted again. Her heart ached. Didn't he believe in her!? Why!? Why didn't he want to stay a happy family!?
"I VOLUNTEER AS TRIBUTE!"
Her own words shocked her. Ivan turned around, the surprise and fear obvious on his face. She hurried over to him, hugging him tight, It's okay brother I will win, whatever it takes to come back to you, you know I can kill them, just go and I will hurt whoever is in my path.
A single tear dripped onto her forehead.
"Maybe we'll be reunited, sister," He whispered into her ear.
"Yes. Maybe."
She could feel the guards prying them apart. "I expectation great things out of you."
"It's expect," She felt her own lips twitch into a smile.
