Prussia looked at the stack of CDs next to his computer and smirked. Every year since he started his online blog, he would burn the year’s worth of entries onto a CS and file them away. Thumbing through the stack, he came upon last year’s “diary,” and picking it up, he opened the CD case and popped into the drive. He leaned back in his chair and stretched while he decided which date to look at first. Since he could not decide, he picked on at random. The word document open, he read through it. His smirk softened into a smile as he read about the day he and his brother went to the park with Italy and the dogs. He smiled at the memory of their game of Frisbee, and how his brother finally took the stick out of his butt and joined them. Prussia closed that file and opened another one. The new file was about his brother’s birthday and how Germany had made a bit of fool out of him, but he did not mind.
“What?” he asked Gilbird, who flew over to settle on his shoulder while he opened another file. Prussia frowned. It was about the time he had dressed in drag and went out on a date with Austria. That had been an interesting “adventure” and while it had led him to question certain things in his life, the end result was it had forged a better bon between himself and Austria. So much so, that he found himself a few weeks later making a sex tape with him for Hungary’s birthday. Prussia laughed, despite their initial misgivings, a fun time was had by all.
Gildbird cheeped at him.
“I’m just going through last year’s blog entries.” He looked to the side and gazed as best as he could at his little avian friend. Prussia was sure if a bird could snort, Gilbird had definitely just snorted at him. “Here’s one about you,” he said as he opened the file. “Remember when West startled you and you hit the window? Damn! I was so worried about you, so was west! I’m glad you were only stunned.” He reached up and scratched the top of the little bird’s head with his fingernail. “I know, I do this a lot, but, I feel like if I didn’t, people would forget me.”
Gildbird cheeped at him in reply.
“So by journaling, and posting it online, people won’t forget me.” Prussia laughed and pointed at his monitor. “See that?”
His avian friend cheeped at him.
“That was the day we went for a sleigh ride. I remember after posting it, my blog has something like a million hits within the hour. Anything I post about West goes viral, it’s really quite funny. He smiled. “And add Itachen to the mix…”
Gilbird cheeped at him as he hopped up and down on his shoulder. Prussia had the feeling his little avian friend was laughing,
“I know right? Anyway… I need something to blog about for today…” Prussia sat back and thought about it for a while. When an idea hit him, he sat down and opening up a blank “page,” Prussia began to type.
Today was another awesome day, in a long string of them… While going over last year’s entries, I decided to list them in the order of my favorites… Anyway, way back in October, my brother and I went to the local Biergarten and I waxed poetic in my totally awesome way about her…
He typed away and when he was finished relating some of his favorite events from last year, Prussia posted it. He sat there, rereading old entries, while he waited for the comments to roll in…
