Why This Must Be Read: A Sunrise As Brief As Hope is an introspective fanfic from Jemma's POV. The author explores Jemma's observation of her predicament (her adventures on the planet and her interaction with Will). At first, I didn't notice that there were no conversations in this fanfic. To me, it seemed as if I was hearing Jemma talk to me; the fanfic is very in character (from Jemma's reactions to her insights). The best thing about this fanfic are the little things which Jemma notices about Will and herself. It's so believable, it might as well be canon.
