Why This Must Be Read: There are a million and a half alternate endings to the devastating "I Will Remember You," but I think this might be the most honest. It's not that the ship is utterly sunk or anything, it's just that the author noticed that Buffy is still a college student and that Angel might need to readjust to his humanity and rejoin the world he hasn't walked in since the mid-eighteenth century. The results are really wonderful-bittersweet and then just sweet in all the right places-and oh, if only their story together had been like this.
