Why This Must Be Read: Because this is a sharp, powerful look at Mr. Thornton's jealousy when he spots Margaret at the train station hugging her brother goodbye, which interestingly allows him to notice a little more than canon does (the lack of passion in their embrace) and then draw the completely wrong conclusion from this observation. I want to drown in the frustrated passion and want in this story, in these huge emotions that Mr. Thornton can barely contain. Short, evocative, to die for.
