Why This Must Be Read: One word: EPIC. Long, plot-y, full of action, and incredibly romantic in a lovely, slowly building, earned sort of way, I couldn’t put this story down. “The Covering Sky” is set after the events of 3x07, where Brienne stays in King’s Landing, and politics (and Jamie) happen from there. All the character voices are so crisp and in-character (I especially liked the handling of Jamie’s relationship with Cersei) and the plot and action of the story ties into the relationships and all of it is just incredibly satisfying and ridiculously good.
