Why This Must Be Read: This story will always hold a real place in my heart. Nancy and Frank were my first UC (unconventional couple, I AM REALLY OLD IN FANDOM, OKAY!?) and Yuletide allowed me to truly dig and and write them an epic. This was a ton of fun to write, especially since I had to do some serious reading of the source, and that let me appreciate how far I've come as a reader and a writer. I also pulled off an actual plot with a small mystery. This is also the story that made me fall completely in love with Bess Marvin and Joe Hardy, and for that I owe it everything. Basically, this is a fun read, even if you've not read the book it's based on.

Why This Must Be Read: This is definitely more of an example of how and what I write. TotW was more of a departure from my normal style, but this one epitomizes it. A close friend once told me that I'm an evocative writer who does thumbnail sketches that like to emotionally punch you in the face. GitS:SAC was a series that basically did that to ME, so our styles paired fairly nicely. I'm incredibly proud of this short little thing, because I think it does give the relationship between Batou and The Major justice, and it doesn't let Batou off the hook for what are essentially his feelings/problems.
