Fic Title: The Curse of Bittersweet Kisses

Why This Must Be Read: There aren't a whole lot of good, in-depth post Castiel becomes god-like stories that also resurrect Jo Harvelle. I like this story a lot because it doesn't back away from Castiel's bad deeds, but it also doesn't back off of making him work for his redemption either. That said, I very much love Jo in this story. Her frustration and anger at essentially being a prize, and having her free will stripped is palpable from minute go. And while that seems like strange thing to respect, this story doesn't dismiss or trivialize these actions or how awful or unfair it is to both Jo AND Dean. But mostly Jo. And it really breaks my heart that this kind of self-awareness isn't universal in fic.

Why This Must Be Read: Oh, man, this thing is great. The author is basically writing an AU season that kicks off in season 5. Each episode is a few chapters long, and are great romps that are monster-of-the-week. However, the author is doing a great job of stringing the episodes along a central theme; namely that all Winchester women die bloody. Why is that? Great, fun read, and I'm really looking forward to seeing how everything shakes out.
