Why This Must Be Read: Because this is one of a tiny handful of authors who gets Walter and Una absolutely right in pretty much any scenario, and even if I'm not 100% sure than canon-Walter loved Faith in any other way besides the chivalrous/platonic one, this story makes it work really well. It's mostly just Walter and Una having a pre-Rilla of Ingleside conversation as friends, pretty much strictly canon-compliant really, but there is mild swoon. Read it!
