Why This Must Be Read: The theme of Jenna losing people and being left behind is heartbreaking in itself so while it's more of a fic dealing with Jenna, how she grows up and the deaths that occur in life along the way, with no real ship driving the force behind it I find that's kinda a perfect fic for Jenna depicting the various relationships, romantic or otherwise, in her life.

Why This Must Be Read: Short and told through and outsiders point of view, which I love, in this case it being Teal'c (who I REALLY love) I just think it really clicks on why I loved these two as ship. The fic itself isn't overly romantic but I think it draws very well on Daniel and Vala's characters and how they react and slowly find a sort of faith and trust in each other. Also I think it helps that it's Teal'c telling this story allowing that more introspective reading on the characters that I don't think either Daniel or Vala would do themselves re: growing feelings towards each other outside annoyance. ;)

Why This Must Be Read: It REALLY sucks when a movie decides to kill it's female lead (and half of it's arguably on-screen duo) in the last few minutes of the film. It sucks even more when it's just so the male lead can grow, and it especially sucks if they didn't even get to make out. AND YET Carolyn/Riddick remain one of my top movie OTPS because IT WOULD HAVE BEEN SO AWESOME HAD SHE LIVED OMG. SO so awesome. This fic gives us one of those what ifs! It's mostly Carolyn's story, which is why I picked it instead a few other fics I've read for these two, and it's about her surviving, finding herself some friends (ONE'S A PREDATOR, THE OTHER AN ANUBIS WARRIOR [you know from The Mummy]!) and goes on to be a fix it fic for Pitch Black and Chronicles of Riddick. Woot.
And because I really love these two I'm just gonna add in some beautiful written, in character, PWP: Scars by Eustacia Vye on AO3. Sidenote: it's really hard to find good fic for this movie omg.
