Why This Must Be Read: manniness is probably my favorite Alice (2010 movie) author EVER EVER EVER. She's probably best known for her GIGANTIC EPIC OF AWESOME, "One Promise Kept"--which of course I HIGHLY RECOMMEND--but this fic was my intro to her work, and one that really stuck with me.
It's basically a "What if?" that twists a MAJOR scene in the movie, and essentially changes everything the viewer perceives thereafter. It's heartbreaking, the slow weaving of the plot to the reveal that BROKE MY SOUL, but I swear the ending won't make you bawl hysterically!
(Also, if you're a fan of the Cheshire cat, you'll LOVE the friendship seen with Hatter!)

Why This Must Be Read: So I'm also a fan of messed up & twisted characters, and this quick little fic highlights just why I adore Hades in any incarnation. Seriously, THE MOST perfect James-Woods-as-Hades voice, with 10000x more evil.

Why This Must Be Read: OKAY, SO I MAY BE PENALIZED IN THIS COMMUNITY, BUT I SHOULD WARN ANYBODY THAT HATES ANY KIND OF SLASH THAT THERE IS SOME IN THIS STORY.
But it's done in possibly the most hilariously perfect META way EVER. Hint: imagine Bonnie growing up as a slash fangirl, and that's a big chunk of the story.
However, what stuck with me was the other pairing in this story. Bonnie is this awesome college student, and Andy is...ahh, what I LOVE is Andy's voice in this fic. Adorable and bumbling and PERFECT.
I hope people will read this despite the slash, because it's BRILLIANT.
