Why This Must Be Read: Everything this author writes is amazing, but this is probably my favorite. I must preface this post by saying that I hardly even ship these two (although I’ve come to find out that I ship Emily Prentiss with just about anyone) but the world she creates here is so riveting and achy in the most beautiful way. The writing is sparse, not a word is ever wasted - just like the characters would want it to be. Truly excellent writing.

The author writes these two characters so honestly and wonderfully that the readers can help but think this is what is going on behind the scenes. After I read this, it honestly became head-canon for me. These two characters are too messed up for their own good, but in this story, in this universe, it works.
