Why This Must Be Read: This fic is just a fantastic, thoughtful exploration of what it would mean and be like if Peter and Olivia were to raise his and Fauxlivia's child together. Heartbreaking and heartwarming by turns.
Charlie is eleven pounds of blonde, breathing proof of Peter's worst mistake.

Why This Must Be Read: Adorably sweet Peter and Olivia fluff where they're both still completely in-character is like a rare jewel, and so I really appreciate the fact that this story exists! I really loved the author's Peter voice, and amidst all the fluff are some serious, deep insights and reflections on the P/O relationship.
His childhood is made up of memories involving Walter in hysterics, Walter in delusion and then Walter not there at all. The rare memories he has before Walter lost his mind he holds on to so tightly he almost never speaks of them out loud. To do so would be to lose fragments of them, to give them away. But with Olivia, it's different. For the first time, it's different. She's looking at him like she understands, like they're sharing a secret, like maybe, she'll hold on to this memory for him and for once, he's not alone.

Why This Must Be Read: The ending of 3x16 left alot of things up in the air in the P/O relationship with Peter's "full disclosure" and what happened shortly thereafter. This fic deals with the aftermath of Peter's disclosure in a brilliant and thoughtful manner, and I can only hope the show does the same as this author does in this fic.
He's not a bad man. That much she knows just by looking into his eyes, by the fact that he's actually told her, the Federal Agent, what he's done; and yet he's lied to her, conned her in ways she never would have imagined, and it shreds her to pieces to think that these might not be the only things he's held from her, that maybe he's been lying all along. She hears his disheartened sigh and watches as he hangs his head in shame, recognizing her emotions; her thoughts, before she can even sort them out. It's how they've always worked, but this eerie communication irks her just now, so she looks away from him, misses the way he looks at her longingly, apologetically, he's not prepared to lose her, he never has been, and it breaks what's left of him to think that she might have reached her breaking point, but if he's ever been anything he's not a man that gives up easily.
