This is a fantastic in-depth look into Foster's character. This author completely understands how Foster works and acts and delves into that head first. This fic also takes a good look at the friendship between Cal and Gillian, what happens when it is pushed to the limit and the consequences of that. There's a good amount of angst, but it is balanced with banter and humor. It's a long fic, so get comfortable, but it'll be worth every second.

While this is a WIP, it's still fantastic. It's a case fic, and it's long yet again, but this time the author goes into Foster's backstory. There is a slight crossover with The Practice where in Bobby comes in, but the author works it in seamlessly. This fic deals with all of Foster's relationships, past and present, and how that ties into the case. It is very in-character, well-written, there's lots of mystery going on, and it has wonderful interactions between Cal and Gillian.

This is wonderfully angsty, yet sweet. Takes place post-Tractor Man (2x10) and it has an epic showdown between Cal and Gillian, one that needs to be done. The first time I read this, it hurt. They take time in clearing the air regarding Cal's stunts and it's wonderfully explored. It might be slightly on the long-ish side, but well worth it.
