This fic has an excellent portrayal of the characters Jessica and Hoyt, and even her narrative sounds like Jessica's voice, and it's absolutely perfect. It's exactly the type of scene you want to see after the recently aired episode "Fresh Blood".
The flow of language is also nice, and there's a great insight into Jessica's thoughts, her feelings, and her reasons for control to not drain Hoyt of his blood because of her love for him. It's a beautiful read, and if you're in the True Blood fandom, you don't mind a little blood play anyway.
