Shipper's Manifesto: Miss Parker/Jarod
Fandom: The Pretender (The Pretender)
Pairing: Miss Parker/Jarod
Blurb: Miss Parker and Jarod, children of the Centre. They met when they were about 10 years old, and for quite some time, they were the only friend the other had. When we meet them, they're both adults, and Jarod had escaped from the Centre. Miss Parker is the head of the team in charge of bringing him back 'home'. Things have changed between them, they're no longer friends. But with each passing episode, their relationship evolved, and the viewers that we are learn new things about their common past, like the kiss they shared when they were children. And Jarod had set himself a mission to make Miss Parker see the truth about the Centre, her family, her mother's death. Most of the time, Parker would choose to trust Jarod over her own family, and they were times when they worked side by side, as if nothing had ever changed between them. It all culminated during the fireplace scene at Ocee's in the second TV-Movie Island of the Haunted, and of course, since that scene, every single shipper just hates tea. There are many questions left unanswered, which is why I'll conclude this blurb by saying: THIRD MOVIE POWER! ;) Oh yeah, also, most of the fic I'll rec here are post-IOTH, because those are what I read the most.

Very angsty fic about Jarod's family not being able to understand him as good as Miss Parker can, and it's up to her to help him. Phenyx has written them perfectly in character, this is a must-read.
