It is with sadness that Stars and I want to let everybody here know that the Het Reccers LiveJournal community as well the the corresponding Tumblr mirror will be going into archive-only mode on March 31, at the end of this month

I was wondering what was going on - my feed seemed awfully lonely without my recs coming in.

Aww, I've felt the same way too. It's a sad decision, but we think it's for the best.

Please do feel free to post some recs this month to help us celebrate our last month of reccing! :)

Absolutely! I could never delete the thousands and thousands of fic recs that are posted here - I'm happy at least that het reccers will continue to serve as an amazing archive from here on out.

Would you be willing to hand over the community to someone else? I’ve modded many communities in the past (most daily picture comms). I don’t think I’ll be able to do actual posting very often, but I can at least moderate and approve posts so that people can continue sharing recs here. It’s up to you, though. You guys have done an amazing job with this community. <3
