Why This Must Be Read: I don't know if I would call this a character study or a relationship study from the point of view of a character, but in any case it's a very good study. The show fucked up big time, like the author said on her notes, I guess they thought they were gonna have more time and so they were pacing the developtment of the relationship accordingly but that just made the end feel very rush. This grand love came out of pretty fucking nowhere. Anyway, the author takes that ending and doesn't change it but simply goes waaaaay deeper into Myka's mindset to explain/make us realized how we got to that ending. It's a seriously good fic, very well written, with such attention to detail (the use of their backstory is very important all thorough the story). Absolutely canon in my mind.
