Why This Must Be Read: Author's Summary: Time travelers who plan to kill Superman never account for Marth Kent in their plans. She may not be the Worlds's Finest, but she's a mother with a shotgun, and all told that might be scarier. Basically time travelers from the future keep showing up to kill Clark Kent as a child, Martha of course stops them. What I loved about this story was the focus on Martha; we get a chance to see how it must have been to raise an alien child who would one day be both Clark Kent and Superman.
